Turians Get Ditched...

Pretty upset given that they're my favorite race in Mass Effect. Thankfully, I don't think they've been ditched.

It would be unfortunate, as they're one of my favorite alien species in the series.

I doubt it'll happen. But if, my reaction would depend on exactly which races made it. But as I said, doubt it'll happen.

Since the Turians were the first species of the Council races to encounter humanity, they gave me the impression that they would always have the privilege to escape potential absence from a Mass Effect game.

I would be happy.

I really hope they're there, I love their attitude.

Lore wise, I can't see how any effort from the galaxies species to make ARKs and leave the system would be without the Turians. They're heavy hitters on the council, no way they wouldn't have a place.

Unless this isn't a council initiative and the Krogan/Asari/Human ARK builders were real good secret keepers.

Do you people really care that much about the turians as a species or just because of Garrus? I mean, what is so compelling about them? Just like Xen said, they didn't really bring anything interesting to the table except for their bird(cat)-like appearance and voice filters. They are basically very rigid humans that look different.

In my case, as I said in the other thread: Turians are cool.

I loved them before meeting Garrus. I was so pissed when Saren kill freaking Nihlus! HE WAS SO COOL GODDAMMIT!!!



I think one aspect I love from the Turians the most is they are as diverse as humans are. And at the same time, they don't seem as humanize as Asari are. As shechinah says, we meet all type of Turians, with different personalities, different occupations...

I'd find that pretty unacceptable, and not even just because I really like their role in the MEU. It would simply make no sense. Batarians, Drell, Quarians, Geth, even Elcor and Hanar. There's a slew of reasons why these space yokels might not make it into Andromeda, but as one of the most powerful factions, not to mention one guaranteed to survive, the exclusion of the turians would be pretty baffling, especially when the asari obviously made it there.*

*The volus are in a weird gray area. As a "joke" species, they should be disposable, but at the same time, they have potential insofar that they can provide support for the actual assembly of this expedition in the first place.
