If their agenda was to make people believe that Mass Effect Andromeda had poor animations then how exactly is that wrong? Even if you overlook the punch that scene still looked stupid, and so did many other scenes on release.
Kudos to them for fixing it though

There's been a lot of that in the memester's muckraking of MEA. The scene where Peebee held the pistol backwards? The scene goes by so quickly in-game, it's hard for me to imagine that anyone would have noticed it if they weren't going frame-by-frame to look for mistakes. I noticed it in my playthru and I wasn't looking for it. Drack had his gun backwards in a few cutscenes too,. Not game breaking, but definitely noticeable.

I don't think he can talk about work if he works on what I think he works on, which is TWD.
EDIT : GDI, quoted the wrong thing. There we go.

to be fair i didnt notice the gun the first time cause i wasnt looking for it i was focusing on the scene its self. Though once it was pointed out i couldnt not see it every time there after which is annoying.

A good friends of mine owns an agency here so I usually get to hear about the projects ahead of time now by their code names. Little weird running into actors around town now though.

So we all remember this gif that has been doing the rounds: I finally got around to doing the meet up tonight, so was waiting to see this scene and give a bit of an eyeroll at it and move on. And yet for some reason, the actual scene plays a hell of a lot faster and looks perfectly fine: Now I am not suggesting that people with nothing better to have deliberately slowed the gif down to make it look worse than it actually is to pursue a specific agenda, but.. No, wait. I am. Which is exactly what they did. There's been a lot of that in the memester's muckraking of MEA. The scene where Peebee held the pistol backwards? The scene goes by so quickly in-game, it's hard for me to imagine that anyone would have noticed it if they weren't going frame-by-frame to look for mistakes. Some people just want to see the world burn...

For all those saying it was patched.. when? That was uploaded 20th March. If you go to the scene it looks nothing like the gif, and just like my playthrough. Despite posting this video, it doesn't help your case... I see sweat/spit flying off a face from a fist missing said face by a three inch airgap, followed almost immediately by a total Drack headbutt whiff that even Jobu's rum couldn't cure. projectpatdc & others curious about my work, I just wrapped Marvel Black Panther last month, finished GotG2 last year and have a lovely screen credit, and begin working on Godzilla next week. I quit TWD two seasons ago, and this season will mark as the second season I will not work a day on. For the pilot and first 5 seasons, I was there everyday.

Would be interesting to see if the video game industry starts to boom here. Atl is quickly becoming the new tech Hub as well in both buckhead and Alpharetta. cost of living therefore salaries are much lower here No infinity wars?

We are arguing different things here Quiggles, I see your point about the fist missing but you really have to be looking extra super hard to notice it's so quick - especially in the context of the wider scene. It's really nitpicky. My point is that the original gif is used to (still) point out flaws in the game, even though it doesn't even match the release version (let alone 1.07) as demonstrated by the YouTube video.

I think, as is usually the case, the honest answer lies somewhere in the middle. That scene went by so fast the only people who noticed were people looking for an excuse to bitch.

It's actually kinda noticeable though. I was also bugged by the fact that it wasn't even her "signature" weapon. The scene is never different, so there's no excuse for her not having a sidewinder in her exclusive cutscene.

I saw a couple of these videos before the game released. It didn't affect my decision to buy; cut scenes frequently induce cringing; I'm old enough to remember the live action ones that were flirted with in the Jedi Knight series. What made me sad about this one is that their previous cut scenes were fairly well done. I was surprised that some of these looked bad. But again, for me, it's not a deal changer. My gripes with this game have nothing to do with the cut scenes, except maybe as a pattern of behavior.

It's funny I remember that scene with Peebee and I thought "Where did she get the fancy gun?" I didn't think of it being backwards but noticed something odd. I guess this is the special gun that fires both ways.

The problem isn't that mistakes were made (they were and were patched) but the ludicrous defences advanced by people. Just accept that errors were made and that for many that's the only version of the game they'll ever see as they won't be replaying it. And that's the real problem. The first and only impression for many is that ME:A is a buggy mess. EA/BioWare can patch away, won't make a blind bit of difference as the damage is done. And I don't say this with a sense of glee or schadenfreude but sadness that their ineptitude may have damned the series.

I've also had dead stalking Cora, the galaxy map crash, transition screens crash, had the Mako spawn in a vault and be unrecoverable etc etc. I think if 1.07 had been the release the reception would be a lot different. All it would have taken would have been a 2 month delay.

Unless of course the only reason people are salty is they are still mad over the endings.

As anyone who has read my post they will know that I am not a fan of MEA. They did a lot wrong. I had no problem with the bar fight. There is no need to slow the action down and to focus on one area to try and high light the bad graphics in this game, all you have to do is watch the facial animations closely, yes even after the patch to see how poorly it was done Also don't even get me started on the that massive awe inspiring Krogan slap fight

That was made all the more epic by crowbcaat's (I'm not sure who's video he used, but hat's off to them) video of that fight.
That shit was funny.
