those damn anomalies... Also 99% of my deaths are from douchebags who grab you and kill you in one shot. Specifically those assholes with the orbs. Infuriating. I've finished the game and am just trying to get 100% viability and these guys are still haunting me.
Fantastic game otherwise, Gil Brodie is hot as fuck

When I face ascendants these days, I just take out the orb then play a game of catch with a cobra RPG.

I found out the hard way about their sync kills. Though, they're easier to keep away from than Banshees (aka ME3 MP moonwalking and magnet hands hell). I tend to stick with the sniper rifle for them :/

yeah not sure what they were smoking at bioware. Ascendants have a rotating small weak point that has to die before you can damage them, and it respawns! oh wait theres more! they can sync kill! how the hell dose that make any sense?
of course whats really bad is their usually accompanied by mooks who can swarm you once their shield is down forcing you to deal with the trash then once their down you go back to the ascendant and their shields back up! gah.

Mhmm. The window to damage them is pretty small. It can be frustrating when using my Isharay with a vintage heat sink because they either warp and move when I line up my shot or the orb reappears by the time it reloads. I prefer keeping away because sync kills suck, so a sniper rifle for distance and high damage to take them down faster is better for me; though there are downsides to it obviously.

I had problems with my first couple of Ascendants, but once I had some perks, weapons and armor it became easier. Now, Eirochs and Fiends that show up out of nowhere on Kadara while in a firefight are a whole different kettle of screw that.

Ascendants are easy if you stay away and shoot the orb with a Black Widow. Eirocks and Fiends and most everything with armor use the Thokin Assault rifle. Works great on armor. Pirahna shotgun works ok too but you have to get closer, which is not so good.

The eiroch that surprised the heck out of me is the one trapped in a kett camp on Eos. I just randomly activate and deactivate stuff without looking then out pops this sucker that was trapped in a chamber. Blinked the hell outta there when it grabbed Liam.

It's when they come running in from behind while fighting something else, particularly on Kadara, and body slam you. Sometimes Elaaden, as well, but not nearly as often.

I guess I can see how Vanguards might be getting the short end of the stick, but as an Infiltrator I tend to stay a little further, often initiating combat from beyond AI's effective range which renders them unable to return fire. Eirochs usually get a lethal first shot and then I either keep jumping away while siccing my squadmates on it, or use them as bait while I wreck all the things.
Infiltrators are really dirt simple to play with the open world nature of Andromeda. But still, even then, I carry a Lancer (read: VHS'd Avenger) because assault rifles are just too versatile, and a Phalanx because it's basically the 1911 of the 22nd century. And I know, that's very, very loose likening, but hey, I like it.

Use the Dhan shotgun. Extra damage vs weak points and hits like a truck. Plus it has more range than most shotguns and is extremely accurate. Just has a slight travel time and requires good aim.

It's very easy to avoid the sync kill attacks. Even using Charge+Nova.
I only got killed twice in hundreds of hours of playthrough during SP. Just avoid it on MP if the host is lagging.

I tend to stick with the sniper rifle for them :/ Awww, but with them (as with banshees), the fun part is seeing how close you can get and dodging away. (Especially in MEA -- though it's all fun and games until I evade into a crate, get trapped, and have to redo way too much of the base because I just HAD to get cocky with my flamethrower.) I am weirdly charmed by the sansors story.
