Medigel Use Protocol, Or: To Rage-Gel or Not to Rage-Gel

I do rage gel sometimes, but I'm proud to admit that it doesn't happen much.
Using medigel in wave 1 totally pointless. If somehow I managed to get my ass kicked on wave one I just wait for a revive or die. Worst case scenario we loose the round, but we won't loose consumables because it was wave 1 (Although I'm not sure if that always works).

I don't use medigel if I know the wave is about to end or it's somewhat close to end.
I will use it if there's only one guy left and I'm certain the wave is not about to end.
And NEVER when I'm surrounded by 6 phantoms just waiting to lolstabme like the little bitches they are. I always said that medigel should give you 3-5 secs of synckill immunity, but oh well.

Something I see quite frequently is that good players tend to use it ASAP no matter the situation, especially if we as a team are doing quite good. Probably because they don't want their teammates to be bothered running across the map to revive them, as in "it was my fault for dying" .

And just basically all the time, whenever I can to save me from the embarrassment of being a scrub, until there's only two medigels left, cause I need those for the last wave.

Is there any other kind of gel than rage gel?

Me: Wtf dude, I had you!

I need to get up and keep on scoring kills or you'll get ahead of me. This game is all about score.

Geth gel. It exists but is never used when the Geth go bolts deep in your anus.

Seriously if I die, I feel bc something is going to get its ass kicked for killing me and I don't want any of the douche bags (also known as friends) killing whatever killed me.

Pugging: I am the mission, so if I go down, I'm gelling asap.

Besides rage-gels, there are shame-gels and reloadcancel-gels. What's the protocol on those?
