Sorry guys, you told me to play W3 to compare this game, but sorry, it is still fun but far away from ME or DA games. There is just one other game series which is still better and this is well from Germany: Gothic.

I really fear, PB will do the same mistake as Bioware did, set priority on "Open World" than on "Story".

it's a complex, mature, non linear story, maybe not for you

The amount of mentions the game gets makes one think this a CDPR based forum. At least it isn't quite the levels of 2015 where every fanatic was spamming any forum discussing any RPG. It was annoying trying to talk about other games only to have "BOW DOWN TO THE WITCHER" blasted on repeat.

Still have my faith in Bioware.

In that regard its better than the current state of Mass Effect.

I suppose it's not wrong, there's just no UMPF to it. Still fun at the core, but if I do a replay, it's for the combat, not the story (which, with an RPG, is just... nope). Maybe the Velen/Novigrad bits, but Skellige is just meh.

The first Witcher is, to be honest, just a piece of shite. Fetchquests galore, uninteresting story, and I was happy it became somewhat gripping in the final act. I never felt the need to keep pushing, like with DA or ME (or even the other two Witcher games, up to Skellige with the third, past Skellige it became "Well, I put this much into it, might as well finish it for the combat").

Seriously, Witcher series are the most miraculous rise from shite I've ever seen in any series. The first is a plain 1-2/10, and the second goes as high as 8-9 with me. Could be more, but I just can't give more than a single flying fuck about the characters.

In fairness, Gothic 1 and 2 are really fucking good. Completely different games than DA and ME, though.
