who else thought these were hands down the best missions of the game.
There was a clearly defined purpose, via dialogue scenes, behind each of these missions.
We roamed down large action packed corridors.
Minimal time wasting bs and major focus on characters.
These missions were exactly what I envisioned Andromeda to be. A series of short Special Ops assignments where we raid ships

I think to replicate the loyalty missions it would be problematic because it would then at least story wise require BioWare to pick who you are going with and that was something I tolerate with loyalty missions, but when it came to the Omega DLC with Mass Effect 3 I kept thinking how I would have liked it more with people I picked to go with.

I thought the archon flagship and meridian missions were the best in the game myself. But I think if something is going to be a "loyalty" mission, there should be something meaningful affected by loyalty, without being something cheap like Oh I can't focus so I'm more likely to drop dead, or just be an unlock of a specific ability. I liked the Wrex standoff, and I also liked that the VS's trust in Shepard was variable at a key moment.

Eh they didn't impress me tbh. I liked Vetra's but that was mainly due to the cool planet (and the occasional plunge to our deaths as Peebee screamed 'SHITTTT' ), but the actual bits of combat in those domes was boring. Liam's was good, but unfortunately I had to actually take Liam with me so that ruined the mood. Peebee's was stupidly broken up, to the point where it had lasted so long I forgot what we were doing. The environment for the final part with the volcano however was pretty epic. Drack's was great. Cora's should've been a main mission, why they'd bundle her's up with the Asari ark I don't know. Perhaps to save time? But it makes it mandatory and in the end it isn't really about Cora at all. I could've done without them, they felt like BioWare just going thru the motions. What was innovative in ME2 felt run of the mill in ME:A. I would have preferred meatier side missions, the exact same complaint I have with DA:I, where we could've spent longer finding the arks and had plot points explored within them. Or put an ark on one of the planets and integrate it into the open world to enrich the experience. ME3 did it the best for me, the side missions there were a good length and added a lot to the story. I'm kinda done with the loyalty thing.

Agreed as much fun as the Omega DLC is the fact you can only go around with Aria/Nyreen is one of it's drawbacks I prefer going round with my own team. It's probably the main reason why Omega is one of my least favourite DLC's. I do like the DLC so don't get me wrong but it is an asnnoying aspect of it an dalso one of the main reasons why I tend to do it early in my playthrough's of ME3 and get it out of the way.

I liked how each LM fit the personality of the squadmate, but what I didn't like was the pacing. Tying them to main missions made it feel very crammed. Having a timer (like in DAI) when they would end up on hold would have worked better in my opinion.

The main missions are good and so are some of the loyalty ones. Like Vetra, Drack, Jaal. Cora and PeeBee missions would have been better if Bioware hadn't been following the rule of cool and instead made eva suits for the Asari including the helmets (there is a model for the helmet inside the artbook but they never put it ingame).

I really liked the loyalty missions since there's quite a bit of character development and dialog involved, but I don't want to go back to corridor style game play again. I'd rather they work on the designs they have now and improve on them. This particularly applies to the main story line.

I like the main missions in the game: Nexus/arks, planetary (including the vaults), LMs and storyline. Since there is nothing else that you need to do to finish the game, that's what I do, so really those are the only missions I see. Sure, more is better, but there is plenty in the game.

I liked the main missions and vaults quite a bit. I wanted more of them. Some of the loyalty missions were good, but most of them were really on the short side which I think it why some (looking at you PB) got eighty billion holds on them. Hers would have been better with just two planet pit stops and none of all the other crap. I felt all the hold stages were more tedious in general but definitely their attempt to gate you from progress to make them seem like they were bigger than they were. We don't need more like that. Ultimately most of them were really short and silly. But for the actually mission itself, Drack, Liam, And PB's were the best. The others were rather short and unimpressive.

I liked the loyalty missions. initially i was trying to do all of the side quests before doing any of them, but even when i tried to avoid them i think the game will notify you when a teammate wants your attention for something...so will go see them just to make sure i don't miss anything or somehow glitch the game by not going to see them and somehow screw up the story in some manner.
I liked how the game put certain loyalty missions on hold too. It was bit of a relief because now i could do more side missions and naturally trigger events for loyalty missions without worrying about having to mechanically go back and finish them.
I like that system and how it was crafted in ME2. The loyalty missions are there but you can do them whenever you want regardless of the Reaper threat and the game did penalize you for waiting to do those quests....in the next game tho (Andromeda)...i would like for them to cut down on the redundant fetch-quests (yes i know you don't have to do them) and fill them with more rewarding side missions that has depth and are interesting and are loosely related to the main story in some capacity.
Even if it makes the game shorter overall...i will take quality over quantity any day...
