For those that don't know, Mac is the creative director for Andromeda.
Mike Laidlaw, the creative director of Dragon Age conducted this interview with Gamespot a day ago:
"While Laidlaw didn't get into specifics about the project, he confirmed that BioWare's Dragon Age team is currently "hiring a lot of people." This would suggest that development on the game--assuming it is a game--is ramping up, though there is no word yet on what stage of development is at. "As I've jokingly said, I am the creative director for the Dragon Age franchise and they haven't fired me yet," he explained.
Mac hasn't posted on his once very active twitter account for almost 3 months now...

If we are to believe the whole story of the kotaku article, Mac was the one to actually put together the game in a hurry to have a story/setting worth releasing (YMMV in how worthy it was, but whatever it was before would probably be far worse), so I doubt he'd be the first to meet the boot.

That's his personal twitter account, so no they can't do that unless he violated NDA. He definitely didn't do such thing. Also Mac Walters was dead quiet on Twitter after release of ME3, up until ME:A production started. He didn't even talked about ME3 DLC's on Twitter, but just on Twitter. He did talked about on game presses, gaming convections and on Youtube videos. I think Walters just doesn't like twitter and he doesn't use unless it is necessary for marketing reasons. |
