Well, it became a shitshow alright. Max Verstappen rage quit. The organizers had to shut down their race servers twice. More than half the field got disconnected at least once. ...And it's actually all the organizer's fault, not the individual participants internet connections.

How do we know that? Because they redflagged the race twice to deal with issues. Because it always happen in big Rfactor2 races, but never in iRacing, which have hosted a colossal amount of big racing events for many years, every day, with very little issues. But now the company that owns RF2 have purchased exclusive licenses for most big races for 10 years.

Well, as the saying goes, the important thing is to finish Le Mans. Good thing that, since most people's positions in the race has been considerably affected by things out of their control.

RF2 need to fix this. Their focus seems to be the "broadcast" and having that look like a normal real world race event, probably thinking this is how to deal with sponsors. That's not really the culture in simracing. Most viewers instead follow the various team's streams. Not surprisingly 'Radio Bacho' had twice the audience of the official stream, and Broadbent almost three times the viewers, when he was on.

Red Line leading (second car of Max' team). Mahle racing is 9'th, but expects to lose one position. Brabham Esport is 8'th. They could both have been up around 5, 6 except for disconnects and being punted off the road. 35 minutes left, but I'm done. Will watch the end later.

Basically RF2 is not fit to host events like this. But the owner has purchased all the big racing licenses.

Impressive work, even though it has been done with AI help. I've seen many of these before, but not all. I note that some of them have been reworked, are different. Mostly better I think.
If I'd be critical, I'd say that some are somewhat lacking of obvious and expected cultural & historical connections. Where is the samurai in Japan for instance? Or Maori in New Zeeland?
Maybe UK could have been split in England, Scotland and Wales?

Still, impressive and fun project.
