As everyone now knows Bioware has a thing for family drama. As I was discussing with a friend that your brother/sister is also around somewhere I was thinking of what role or rather what 'fate' your sibling may endure. It made me think of the previous 'behind the scenes' trailer where you can see someone in similair armour and stature as male Ryder being tossed around like a ragdoll by a viscious looking Alien.
The trailer seemed to be about FemRyder. So is it the death of your brother what we saw? Carefully disguised between quickly flashing scenes? I don't think it's the dude standing next to male Ryder since his stature seems more buff and shorter than the one tossed around. Or maybe it's dad?
Thoughts?

The scene showing the guy being dropped? Don't know I'm sure that will be something the player will find out when playing the game. I like to not see the father or sibling die. I would rather have another character die. |

I'm hoping our sibling will be with the squad for at least part of the story. Keen for that sibling banter. And yeah, not dying would be a nice change of pace.

I'd like the sibling to be part of the cast, but not the squid, encountered a few times in the game, but that's all really.

I think there's a possibility sibling may appear only via video message like Hannah Shep did.
Wonder if the father is going to be one of the main antagonists and whether there's going to be a Luke-Vader thing between the Protag and their father, where they have option to redeem or put them down.

Without knowing any details I really like the inclusion of the family element to Andromeda. The various scenarios it allows for are pretty cool. All of the suggestions I have read are pretty cool.
My favorite is the their father being an antagonist but the "why" of him being the antagonist is lost on me. Why would he be opposing you? I guess fundamental differences on how to explore and colonize Andromeda would naturally arise and that would lead to various factions being formed etc… but quite honestly that's not really the best foundation for a strong antagonist to have.
At this point Sarren has been far and away the best antagonist in the MEU so if somehow the father is corrupted by the dark Remnant and becomes an agent of theres………oh wait then we'd just have ME1 all over again. Maybe not necessarily a bad thing but I hope they come up with something different.

I don't think they could keep whatever story they have in the works afloat with faction switching. |
