must their Pathfinder be a Quarian?
I'd give the job to a Drell.
1) Drell don't have no emo environmental ish that could be a liability during exploration.
2) Drell thrive in dry climates. Quarian homeworld was a desert.
3) Great way for the Drell to repay their debt of tagging along the Quarian ride to Andromeda
4) Drell are superior killers
5) Drell are highly moldable to suit your needs. Just azzk Thane.
6) Drell can do Biotics. Quarians cannot. This is a major benefit in Andromeda where no one knows ish about Biotics

I don't think their pathfinder could be Quarian. Given their history no Quarian would ever agree to meld with an AI in that way by choice, hell I would be surprised if they even let them install a SAM on the ship.

I don't think their pathfinder could be Quarian. Given their history no Quarian would ever agree to meld with an AI in that way by choice, hell I would be surprised if they even let them install a SAM on the ship. I don't know, the quarians in ME3 are pretty quick to let the geth take over their suits if Shepard manages to negotiate peace. On the other hand, I do want to see a volus pathfinder. I even have a candidate. The Arks did leave after Shepard recruited Samara, right?  |

I'm pretty sure they'd have to settle on different planets. The drell don't need a pathfinder anyways, Eos is already perfect for them, and there aren't many of them to being with. |

Itd be interesting if the SAM on the quarian ark was heavily modified by a quarian with the attitude of Xen and functioned entirely different, like downgraded to be a VI without being in peoples heads. Because yeah i dont see them liking Sam very much.
The pathfinder should be a very wealthy volus with high tech armour like Barla Von.

Considering the kind of people who wanted to make this travel i wouldn't be surprised if those quarians hadn't any trouble with using a IA.
Just like the Nakmor clan was considered one of the less warmongering Krogan clan on Tuchanka.

Well, Humans vary widely in terms of ideology and morality, so I don't see why Quarians wouldn't either. It's likely that there are some Quarians who wouldn't mind making use of AI.
Besides, Alec emphasised the point that SAM is different to other AI in the mass effect universe. The symbiotic relationship all but eliminates any possibility of AI uprising.

So would probably any other geth sympathizer. Remember there were those that protected the geth at the beginning of the uprising. And some of them could have survived and told somewhat different versions of the current accepted reality to their kids. For all we know, the ark could be filled with mostly quarians who felt it was the quarians fault that the geth turned against them which would be rather interesting if they did that. |
