I could give essays on these characters and it doesn't even need to be the three I mentioned, Mass Effect has a lot of great characters that can give you the feels.

It's tough to have those in a particular order but here it goes:

3. Garrus - the quintessential buddy and an awesome guy overall.

2. Ambassador Goyle - a tough as nails negotiator and probably the least stupid polititcian in the ME universe (though the competition on that point really is abysmal)
I always imgined, she'd look something like this:


1. Saren - definitely one of the more complicated villains in video game stories and an especially intriguing character in the Revelation novel.

1. Jack. Most memorable and unique Mass Effect character for me. Loved her in ME2 but was very disappointed with what they did with her character in ME3. She was hardly the same character anymore. It was bad writing to give her so much behind-the-scenes character development in such a short time, especially since nothing that happened in ME2 indicated that it was going to happen (quite the opposite in fact, at least in my playthrough). Still ME2!Jack is that good that she's still my all time favorite Mass Effect character.

2. Kaidan. He was with my Shepard from the very beginning to the bitter end. He was Shepard's best friend and it was quite special. I romanced him with my canon Shepard but felt disappointed by the actual romance content. There wasn't whole lot of it and the romance didn't feel very natural (unlike with female Shepard in ME1). So that was disappointing but still the other content you have with him throughout the 3 games is enough to make the wait and everything worthwhile.

3. Reyes. Minor character, yes, but his romance is hands down the best of the series. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. Reyes is the best thing about Andromeda for me. I love the power struggle and scheming that happens in Kadara Port. It is so refreshing and fun compared to what the rest of the game mostly has to offer (constant lame jokes & playing the errand boy for everyone and everything). Kadara (and especially Reyes) is easily my favorite part of the game. More of that next time around... and less of scanning, doing menial tasks and sucking up to the Angara, other aliens and everyone else really.

Zaeed was cool. I like him being on my squad! I felt safer just bc he is another badass on my team. He is the sort of guy that can make a collector shake when he shows up lol. 

I feared for Joker's life when the collector was on board the normandy. I was literally thinking, "Dam out of the whole squad, no one stayed behind the normandy? Not even one person? Sure we could use Grunt right now!" Even though Grunt could have been captured as well.
