Playing a Sentinel-esque Ryder, Level 19, Insanity, crafted armor and guns. Squadmates Health and Shields are like 700+/700+, while my Ryder's are 260/410. Is that normal or too low? Am I missing something?

Sounds about right if you haven't invested in durability passives in all the "schools of magic."
I'll check what my level 32 "engineer" has in a bit, in a "no crafting" run. Granted, not a whole lot of shield buffs to be had from crafting that aren't available without.

My guess is that squad mates have the extra health to compensate for their rather suicidal AI.

I was messing around in SP and leveling up reminded me of something.
If you look in the first two ranks of Combat Fitness, they increase Ryder's health and shields for each point invested in the combat tree. With 90 points invested, I have +22% health and shields. This is at level 57. Shield / Health is 430 / 611
Rank 1 Barrier is sort of similar. Just posting to reiterate that you have to spend points all over the place to max hp.
