Dunno why I can't seem to make an effective Vorcha melee build. Part of it is that I've spoiled myself with my melee-specced BroGuard who can OHK Gold Phantoms with one deliciously volcanic head 'splosion.
Problem is, with any Vorcha, the lack of shields means you need decent Bloodlust health regen to survive, especially at close-quarters. But maximum Bloodlust and melee Fitness come at the expense of one of the other paths that are usually way more effective (Flamer, Carnage for stagger, passives for weapon damage, Incinerate for armor damage, or even SubNet for crowd control). And all this so you can do a max damage that is half of what BroGuard can dish out in one punch.
Any builds you find that are effective/fun? (On Gold.)

To be fair I don't like any Vorcha all that much. Yeah, the Sentinel is good, because Cluster Grenades are good and Fire explosions are good. BuildBut melee builds suck, cos he has to forgo something vital in order to max out melee damage. I dunno why, but he feels very slow too, so I run Adrenaline mod on him, so I can keep moving. Also, once bosses come out, melee kills become few and far between, so you can't keep you Bloodlust stacked. Also, if you get hacks or escorts and can't/don't kill fast, you become super squishy, super fast. You could try Vorcha Hunter melee build with Venom for staggers and use Submission net to hold enemies or to hold one enemy while you're meleeing another. Build

Lol here comes another Qui-Gon Falcon build. Yes, this works off-host great, makes SubNet useful etc. Vorcha Hunter Fungineer Not a 100% melee build, more a jack of all trades, but he can duke it out pretty good, and get tech bursts here and there, leading to more GRRAAAAH!

I'll use a bit of melee with my Vorcha Sentinel build, but most of the damage comes from combos.
It might sound strange, but I think the Engineer makes for the best melee build, because you don't really have to sacrifice anything to make it work.
I have three ranks in the Net, mainly for Phantoms. Otherwise, I run around with a Graal/omniblade. With Incindiary being a single-target power, it's easier to play the character along corridors, to be mindful of flanking enemy fire.
I won't pretend it's a confident Gold kit for me, but with a decent team, I will perform well with it.

This thread has inspired me to do a Vorcha Hunter Gold game later.
I usually use him in Silver, because melee Vorcha are god-like in Silver, and sometimes that's what I feel like doin'!

Well a cool thing about vorcha melee is that with the heavy one you can deactivate abominations. Unfortunately i changed all my builds from melee to power based ones..

Vorcha Sentinal is the faster Vorcha, which helps with the melee business. Also pick speed evolution for Bloodlust.

And definitely not you. But I disagree. Your host, I would have done just as well with VHE as with GI GPS. That for me was a good connection with definite sync issues, but my GPS was pretty reliable. If you hit something first with Falcon, then cast SubNet, SubNet always lands. Thus, SubNet problem solved. He is one of my favorite PuG trolling kits.

But on the hosts I have played - no way. And it wasn't even the latency issue all that much, but my BatSent SubNet would disappear mid-flight, stick to nearby cover, go trough enemies without doing anything, immediately stop working after catching something and so on. In short I would say that SubNet is more wonky off-host than Warp or Throw or similar.

That is fair and true. But, I judge potato by this build and in general, if I can get Falcon to work semi-reliably, any power I use that follows will usually land.

sometimes the net kills the target before i can melee it. It's counterproductive.
