Okay really liked it but the end was just bad. It was just so abrubt and felt like a little like the warden at the end of legacy. Only the titan was coryephyus. Any thoughts

Do you mean Hawke at the end of Legacy?
Descent definitely raised questions that I hope DA4 will answer, but I didn't play Legacy until after I'd played DAI (at least part of the way through my first PT), so I didn't have the same sense of "WTF just happened" since I already knew about Corypheus.
I don't know that the titans will have such a vital role to play for all of Thedas like Corypheus did (especially considering the new villain that DAI gave us at the end), but I definitely do want to know more.

I didn't really get a WTF from either of these DLCs. What was it specifically that caused the WTF? The surprise and unanswered questions concerning the Titan, I assume?
DA2's Legacy was pretty clear-cut, I thought. That's not really the topic at hand, though.
I really enjoyed the Descent. I played it for the first time in the middle of a fresh campaign. I took it on after the destruction of Adamant, its fallout, and a handful of "Inner Circle" quests. I was a bit under-leveled, which made the increased difficulty all the more awesome and jarring. I quickly "caught up" to the target level, due to the XP curve. I also resurfaced fabulously wealthy and bedecked in gear we'd use to the end of the main story, in some cases. That seemed very appropriate for a Deep Roads expedition of this sort.
I love how this series has presented the deep, interwoven lore progressively, bit by bit. It makes one feel like an adventuring archaeologist. Half the lore we learned in DAO is BS. Kernels of truth were present, and we begin to see when and how the falsehoods crept in, as we uncover older and older sources and wonders. Awesome stuff, and a good DLC, in my opinion.

I have lots of thoughts, like little jewels.
I believe the Inquisitor said it best (and frankly, the most intelligent thing they said in the entire DLC), "I'm leaving with more questions than answers..."

I have lots of thoughts, like little jewels. I believe the Inquisitor said it best (and frankly, the most intelligent thing they said in the entire DLC), "I'm leaving with more questions than answers..." That's just how I like it, in this series. They've proven that they can be trusted to eventually come back to those questions in a creative, satisfying way. Mass Effect is my overall favorite series, but Dragon Age amazes me with the quality of its writing. It's BioWare's true crown jewel, I think, in terms of creating a rich, compelling RPG. For the first time, I find myself hoping that Mass Effect becomes a bit more like DA, in terms of writing, as that series moves into the future. As to this particular topic, I didn't have any real WTF moment, but I definitely have more questions, now. The DLC seemed to confirm ideas about lyrium and "returning to the stone" that I've had for a long, long time. Tying it all together in the form of the Titan is curious, and definitely raises questions. We'll see where they go with it. I'm glad they didn't forget the "children of the stone" in DAI, even if they had to go back and address them via DLC. At least it was a huge DLC.

Abrupt ending? Yeah, I guess that's fair.
But you've got to keep some powder dry. It was a pretty huge reveal about lyrium and the Inquisitors job was to stop the quakes. Which s/he did.
The deep-roads-as-titans-intestines thing is a mess for someone else to sort out.
Look forward to more on this storyline.

Oh wow OP. I thought I was the only one seeing that Lady dwarf as a Larius/Janeka. Gave me the creeps so reminicent of the dialogue right after I finally nailed Cory in DA2.

i really loved it!!! the music! the descent was clear!! all the way down! the underground sea was terrifying !!!! my imagination run wild! ANd the titan as a concept was pretty shocking! huge ramifications over the lyrium! But yeah the ending was kind of abrupt!

I don't think that this is an ancient evil type thing where we'll have to vanquish it sometime in the future. It is possible though that it could tie into Solas' shenanigans.

Oh wow OP. I thought I was the only one seeing that Lady dwarf as a Larius/Janeka. Gave me the creeps so reminicent of the dialogue right after I finally nailed Cory in DA2. Wow that makes three of us! After Valta wakes up after we've defeated the Guardian it was, to me, like my Inquisitor was talking to an entirely different person. It was kinda creepy and did give me echoes of Larius/Jeneka back in Legacy. It also left me with a "WTF just happened?" moment as my Inquisitor just walked away leaving the nu-Valta alone down there. I got the impression that while Titan-Valta wasn't directly evil like Corypheus was, but she definately was no longer on the Inquisitor's or Orzammar's side anymore. Her loyalty is now totally with the Titan with the distinct feeling that she held a lot of her new knowledge back. If I had total free will over the Inquisitor there is no way I'd have left her to her own devices down there. I'd have made sure that a group of Orzammar and Inquisition personnel established an outpost down there. Alas, we shall see.

Also the dwarf duo was great!!! I actually did not expect what would happen to those two! Really? I totally did, in both cases. I just shook my head ruefully in the first case. I didn't have to like it, but I knew it was going to happen. There were way to many dialogue cues hunting in each direction.

I'd have made sure that a group of Orzammar and Inquisition personnel established an outpost down there. Alas, we shall see. Yeah, this was silly. Walking away with a "Best of luck. We'll be going, now," was strange. That place should've been crawling with Orzammar dwarves; or at least that should've been the plan. Their finding all access cut-off upon arrival wouldn't have been too shocking. It did end a bit strangely, and the follow-up War Table operation only made it more creepy.
