She does seem to have a vast range, even considering just Krem and Shepard. Is Hale the one wearing the pasta strainer as a hat, or the one in blue? I actually like it that I can't tell. hale is the one with the pasta strainer with the irish accent. beleive it or not she even voiced characters with a sweet voice, i will try to find something xD there we go: go to 4:09

A terrible example, because Tolkien set about to create pseudo-Germanic mythology precisely because there was no British one. He has created artificial mythology and his estate ensured as much as possible that that mythology remained contained and not used for the derivative flights of fancy. Regardless, Western Fantasy=British remains embedded in people's minds. If you think Dragon Age is bad, try playing Shadow of Mordor. Actually, it's not so much DAI, though F!Hawke, Sera and Blackwall are my "can I turn the voice off, please?", it was Andromeda that did me in, between Liam, Suvi and Jaal. Ye gods, 2/3 LIs were British. Agents' story in SWTOR, like nails on the glass... About the only British I could stand was SAM & M!Hawke. If they would at least annunciate a little, and stop chewing gum/go extra high pitch and baaaabbbby talk on females.

Jennifer Hale did a bunch of voices for Samurai Jack, but one of the more notable ones is of the pink-haired Siren from this sequence.
(BTW, the Scotsman's wife was no angel.)

Why on Earth should British hold some sort of a monopoly on fantasy settings? I understand their use in Imperial setting in SWTOR, because of the RW connotation, but there is absolutely nothing that gives UK a supremacy in the fantasy worlds. that's kinda racist

I do have an anti-UK bias lately, been reading a lot of history books. On the personal level, I spent very unhappy few months in UK, and I've never liked the country, people and voices there. It's not to say that I consider anyone hailing from UK as a bad person, but I find too much British stuff in my games at the expense of everyone else unpleasant.

I don't believe any human is any way inferior to another, but I don't like too many British references in my entertainment.

The lady who voiced Yennefer in The Witcher 3, Denise Gough. Protagonist, anybody. She is criminally underused for someone who could probably finish me with her voice alone. While the British accent she uses for Yenn is fantastic, Denise Gough's native Irish accent is intoxicating as well. Also someone add another tally mark for Euan Morton.

I like the British and Irish voices, but then I'm probably biased as I live in one and come from the other American accents in fantasy setting don't seem right to me, it makes it sound more like Hollywood than a fantasy land. Not counting Varric. Varric's voice is spot on.
Huh, I guess I'm in the minority since I liked Origins' American (or Canadian? ) Elves, as I think it set them apart from the majority of Elven portrayals in modern genre fantasy. The majority of character's in Obsidian's latest offerings ( Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny) had American accents, and I loved those games. Really, you could just chalk it all up to Translation Convention, because if we take this argument to it's logical extreme, all the characters in The Witcher series should have Polish accents .

Sachs was one of the player voice sets and also played the mayor of Redcliff and Harrowmont in DAO and, plus Seneschal Varel and one of the stone spirit statues in Awakening. Unfortunately that will be his last work on the franchise, as he died in 2013 . (One of my useless superpowers is always recognizing Robin Sachs in things. Alas, it is even more useless than it used to be.) Wait, what! Shit I feel terrible now No need to feel bad! It wasn't exactly front page news. (Except on BtVS fan sites.)

Clancy Brown Martin Sheen Keith David Lance Henriksen Carrie-Anne Moss Danielle Rayne Christine Lakin Stanley Townsend Marina Sirtis Fred Tatasciore These are all voice actors who worked with Bioware I believe aren't voicing anyone major in DA, and I would love to see them Agree with the list except Marina Sirtis. I've to say I've only seen her in STTNG, an ep of Stargate and her VA in ME1. I'm not impressed; her role in TNG and SG was passable but not the voice acting. I'd rather have these other options in her place; Nathan Fillion (VA for the rogue in Destiny II) Romaro Orzari (VA for Thief The Dark Project, Corvo in Dishonored II) Erica Luttrell (VA for Empress Emily Kaldwin I in Dishonored II)

This should be remedied

didn't he do tywin lannister? Yeah but it wasn't voice acting, it was acting voice acting is acting. sure the position is not important but facial expression and emotions required to do the voice acting properly. he proved himself as both a good actor both on live and voice acting. so yeah if he fits well to a villain in live acting he fits in voice acting

After Googling and listening to "Keith David," I pinpointed Anderson immediately. That might be distracting (kind of like Jo Wyatt always sounding like Hawke) That said, his voice is glorious and I wouldn't mind listening to it for another game. I know him as Goliath from Gargoyles and Facilier.
