which voice actors do you want in future dragon age games, whether it's a villain, protagonist, companion or just a small role of an NPC?
now for me i'd have to go with:
jules de jongh - preferably as a female protagonist. she is best known for faith connors from mirror's edge, also recent thing she done is cora from andromeda. incredible talent so would be great to have her as the protagonist.
Xanthe Elbrick - mostly a theater actress, in term of video games she is known for voicing the female sith inquisitor in swtor. now in her case the role of an antagonist would be perfect as her voice is match on for that.
so yeah there's this two for me. post your own preferable voice actors you want in the next dragon age! =D

I liked Michael Maloney as Avallach in the Witcher. I think he would be good.

Non-British. Or less British. Hire the entire graduating class of ACAD or whichever school there is, but just go easy on the Brits. And never ever use whoever voiced Jaal again.
BH VA and smuggler VA from SWTOR would be awesome.

Less Brits, no Jaal. i looked up voices I liked in swtor BH: Tom Spackman and Grey DeLisle Smuggler: Maury Sterling and Kath Soucie warriors: Mark Bazeley and Natasha Little trooper: Brian Bloom inquisitor: Euan Morton Jadus: Stephen Rashbrook overall, swotor voicing is mostly good, save for IA, Consulars and F!Inquisitor. I would not mind them reusing that pool of VAs.

Sachs was one of the player voice sets and also played the mayor of Redcliff and Harrowmont in DAO and, plus Seneschal Varel and one of the stone spirit statues in Awakening. Unfortunately that will be his last work on the franchise, as he died in 2013 ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/BBCpsoiIHmyzmblpikow.png) . The lady who voiced Yennefer in The Witcher 3, Denise Gough. Protagonist, anybody. She is criminally underused for someone who could probably finish me with her voice alone.

I want Gethin Anthony for the male protagonist.
And more British. All the British! Or Scottish or Irish. As long as it's not American English.

I like the British and Irish voices, but then I'm probably biased as I live in one and come from the other ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/uYQYVMAupPAfTXFFwWlB.png) American accents in fantasy setting don't seem right to me, it makes it sound more like Hollywood than a fantasy land. Not counting Varric. Varric's voice is spot on.

I like a good mix of different accents. Hopefully we'll be able to choose again for our protagonist - that was really nice (and I liked all of them).

I like British accents. It's one of the many reasons I love Dragon Age so much. As eriador117 said, it feels more appropriate for a fantasy setting. Most other major game franchises, and especially the futuristic/dystopic ones, seem to use American voice actors, so using British accents makes DA feel less commercialised. (I'm neither British nor American, so not biased either way).

If we get to play an elf again, please let the voice actor have an appropriate accent! Eve Myles could voice an elven female protagonist, as she has done work for DA before. (Unless she's incapable of not sounding like Merrill, I guess, in which case find someone else.) After playing 1.67 MET runs with femShep, I'd love to have a Jennifer Hale protagonist again. She'd be great for a dwarf or Qunari. I agree with having Brian Bloom again, either in a Varric cameo or as an entirely different character. Maybe Brandon Keener, as his real voice sounds nothing like Garrus to me, so he obviously has some range. After Googling and listening to "Keith David," I pinpointed Anderson immediately. That might be distracting (kind of like Jo Wyatt always sounding like Hawke) ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/CeRUIfXurYhaBmWjMBkt.png) That said, his voice is glorious and I wouldn't mind listening to it for another game.

Why on Earth should British hold some sort of a monopoly on fantasy settings? I understand their use in Imperial setting in SWTOR, because of the RW connotation, but there is absolutely nothing that gives UK a supremacy in the fantasy worlds.

I don't think you need to worry ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/uYQYVMAupPAfTXFFwWlB.png) DA has always had "American" dwarves, at the very least, so I doubt that will go away. I'll admit that it bugged me in DAO because of how badly it stuck out amongst all the standard British accents, but in DA2 and DAI it just seemed to fit. If they can just give elven protagonists the correct (Welsh? Irish? What is it?) accent, I'll be happy.

I understand their use in Imperial setting in SWTOR, because of the RW connotation, but there is absolutely nothing that gives UK a supremacy in the fantasy worlds. Blame Tolkien. A terrible example, because Tolkien set about to create pseudo-Germanic mythology precisely because there was no British one. He has created artificial mythology and his estate ensured as much as possible that that mythology remained contained and not used for the derivative flights of fancy. Which is a counterpoint to the whole purpose of mythology. Having one or two British voices is fine, but having them disproportionately high while no other accent is present is just very, very annoying. Particulary when they by some reason need to butcher the voice even further, like with Jaal.

Regardless, Western Fantasy=British remains embedded in people's minds. If you think Dragon Age is bad, try playing Shadow of Mordor.

I understand their use in Imperial setting in SWTOR, because of the RW connotation, but there is absolutely nothing that gives UK a supremacy in the fantasy worlds. I just love the accents, I'm not a native speaker, but I was always drawn to british accents - and irish, scottish and welsh. Blame BBC and My Fair Lady Apart from that, there are two american actors, I would love voicing a npc or even pc: Richard Speight Jr. (Gabriel/The Trickster in Supernatural) and Tobin Bell (John 'Jigsaw' Kramer in Saw) - both have very unique and wonderful voices.
