I know there is another thread out there for this, but then here we go, I can't resist showing her off. Granted there are probably Ryders far prettier then her, but she is about the best character I've ever managed to create. That looks a lot like the star child. if the star child were in their twenties. Female and slightly sexy...then...sure?

I too understand the criticism about the cc. However i will take the face scans and limited options if it means being able to create realistic looking characters. Which, while i have been able to create good looking characters in the past they've all looked...inhuman. With the possible exception of my cousland. In Inquisition at least every character is a product of the CC or at the very least the game's character tools rather than a face scan, so no one looks better defined, like how Sheploo totally looked out of place next to ordinary NPC's.

The CC is still a big load of crap. Yes you can make good looking characters using it but that doesn't mean it's any good. It's a massive step back from DAI CC and other RPGs like Fallout 4 and Skyrim in every way. We can't even edit fucking eyebrows in a game released in this age? There "improvement" was just adding one preset for male and female that's it. Especially considering how much they said the CC was going to great in this game when it's nothing more MET CC with some more hair options. Did you notice that changing the complexion now changes the eyebrows on each preset... so the trick is to find a combination of preset and complexion/eyebrows that you like and then adjust the sliders for the other facial features. I know and it's not worth mentioning .All those complexion are is just one of the 10 preset head without hair that's it. So even if I do get the eyebrows I live with now my character looks like he wearing lipstick and we can change lip color, or it has freckles and we can't remove those or it just doesn't look right with the skin tone I want my character to have. They way they did complexion in this game is the most asinine thing I ever seen in CC. And that's notincluding the lack of hair and other features. I get you guys want to defend this game but there is no defending this CC

I think the CC is rather good now. The ability to change complexions makes a big difference. Its not super detailed, but the addition of the complexion slider makes it quite easy to quickly make a good looking, distinct character.
The lack of eyebrow options is a pain though, and more nose customisation would be nice. And blonde hair still looks pretty rubbish on most hairstyles, though that was true in the Trilogy too.

Overall I still woukdn't call it a good cc but it is easier to make satisfactory Ryder with it. I am pretty happy with the Sara I made with it.

They way they did complexion in this game is the most asinine thing I ever seen in CC. And that's notincluding the lack of hair and other features. I get you guys want to defend this game but there is no defending this CC It could have been a lot better, indeed. But the changes they made now give you the option to have different basic features/face shape with different looks from all the different heads as well as having the skin tones you can adjust too. It's not perfect or ideal, but it's still a step in the right direction and more than we had. Ideally, I think being able to change shape of brows, nose, lips, eyes and even ears would have been the most ideal solution. I'm not sure if that's related to scanning graphics in or not. Can't really say. But I hope for MEA2 they find a way to allow us that freedom. I think it would make for even more versatile Ryders and be far more fun. Still though they did at least make some changes that give more freedom and that's a step in the right direction. I don't know what the hell it is with hair. That seems to be a challenge in nearly every game where I make a character. I think Dragon's Dogma did a nice job on the hair. It moved realistically. Long hair was kind of glued to a degree depending on style. Colors were mostly good. I think for color they need to have it more artistically done, where there are highlights in the shade to be more natural. I could swear I remember playing a game where I had to pick the color and the highlights. Oh yeah. Sims. LOL. Well, it's EA. They should call their Sims department and borrow that STAT.

Unpopular opinion: I wish they'd just do away with CCs in general, and have over-the-top quality premade faces and animations instead. :| Booooooo!!! Hiiiisss!!!! *throws rotten vegetables*

Of course they would need like 50 to 100 presets per gender to pick from to give an acceptable range of options and features. Probably easier to just give us a fully functional CC next time.
