Well one thing is that a Quarian protagonist would eliminate the need for a character creator. Which is fine in a DLC. By obvious reasons, for a next game, a playable Quarian is only possible as an option.
Or the Quarian can wear partial masks/face shields. They still use CC on Miralukas in SWTOR, even though a large portion of the face is covered by the eye mask. I was actually surprised when I realized just how much of an appeal that landed to a character, having the face partially hidden, and how interesting it was creating those chars.
Darn, now I want to play a Quarian even more. With a partial face mask. Miralukas have their eyes closed, the Quarians could have their shawls arranged in different patterns to cover hair ('cause we are overdue for an alien with hair) and the lower portions of the face in different ways. Want it.

Its entirely possible that 600 years of automated genetic engineering could fix, at least partially, the quarian immune system, so maybe full suits aren't necessary

Here is my 5-minutes of BS'ing DLC Plot:
The Protagonist, a Turian of Saren Arterius Line is born 700 years after Commander Shepard had used the Energy of Crucible. The Reaper fleet has aged and deteriorated over time if Control Ending was used; the AI link weakened as well in case of Synthesis. The Galactic Counsel is dominated by Humans. The protagonist hides his/her identity as it is expected that any Arterius had preferred death to ignominy a few hundred years ago. The Protagonist retains Saren’s records and conflicting accounts that implicate Shepard in aggrandizing the humanity through either Destroying the Reapers and diverting the spoils to the Earth’ advancements; directly controlling the Reapers to the same end or forcing the policing Cerberus AI on the Galaxy. The Protagonist believes that Shepard was always a Cerberus Operative. During the initial sequence the Protagonist uses Saren’s design to either purge Shepard’s weakening consciousness wiping out the remains of the Reaper fleet; destroying the AI link; dealing a major blow to the Human-dominated Counsel.
The contemporary Palaven has an overextended military that consumes most of the resources in the name of maintaining the Independence from Humans. The provincial Turian systems are facing the dilemma of maintaining a united Turian space with impure systems dominated by non-Turian population or Partitioning.
The Protagonist starts on one of the smaller moons ruled by independent warlords courted by both the United and Separatist movements. The Protagonist gains prestige through either reconciliation between the species or as an ardent Turian patriot intolerant of others. This eventually leads him to Palaven as a representative of his/her Warlord. S/he has a choice to suppress or capitalize on his/her descent from Saren; sell off his/her moon for personal promotion within one of the movements, or stay loyal to its interests, brokering a preferential deal.
The DLC culminates in either triumph or defeat of the side the Protagonist championed, depending on the consistency of his or her choices and alliances.
Whatever happens, the mass purges of non-Turians happen in the aftermath, bringing in the war against the Humans. The DLC ends with the Protagonist being offered the status of a Spectre.
Cast: Blindman (M!Batarian Brawler), Shu (F!Drell Sniper), Bubble (Volus Hacker)
