So today i watched a vid with the top ten me missions and while i did not comment i decided to open the to the floor. And since i might talk about spoilers it goes in here. So here's my list.
10. Sleeping Dragons (MEA): probably the best side quest in ME history. When it came to the decision point. I froze. The politics of the day coupled with my own plus a genuinely difficult rp choice made this one a highlight. 9. Jaals loyalty mission: this was tough, tense, philosophical, and the family bonds were personel. MEAs writing was at its best delivering an epic.mission. 8. Garruss loyalty mission. This was the best loyalty mission in bits. Multiple decisions. Call backs to the past. And watching revenge eat up a friend. 7. ME 1s end mission: it had it's moments as you charged through to the end confrontation. Multiple cool moments and decisions v 6. Priority Rannoch: the culmination of the end of the Quarian arc. Which you could end by yelling at them. 5. Priority Mars: the music and the feel of this mission drew me in. This is where ME 3 became a Mass Effect game. Incrrdibly fun but not a lot going on. 4. Virmire. This is where me 1s story kicked it up to eleven. The music. The presentation. The choices. The music. This mission was where me really hit its gold standard. 3. The journey home. This is everything ME 3s ending battle should have been. Terrific space battle. Uniting the cluster under a common threat. Seeing your choices matter. A killer narrative twist. And playing as your sibling...sort of. 2. Priority Tuchanka: again great music. Again Culmination of choices. Great speeches from Shepard and Eve. 1. The suicide mission. Not really an introduction needed. The culmination of an entire games worth of build up.

1) Ilos: everything there was spot on. The music, the ambient, the plot reveals. The first time it left me with a mixture of excitement and sadness for the Prothean. Vigil was the cherry on the top. No other mission gave me those feelings.
2) Noveria: I really liked this mission combination of hub exploration, multiple ways to tackle a same mission, the eeriee creepy atmosphere of the labs and the overall plot. Very interesting mission, I like the subtle horror elements thrown there, had an Alien feeling.
3)Lair of the Shadow Broker: This mission was gorgeous. Reuniting with Liara to take down the mysterious Shadow Broker. The driving section was new and felt fun. Fighting in Illium was very exciting and the vessel of the SB was very atmospheric and mysterious. Enjoyed it!
4)Leviathan DLC: I really enjoyed discovering the secrets and the origins of the Reapers. Pity that was a DLC and not a proper mission. I liked the subtle investigative/horror vibe it gave.
5)Cora loyalty mission: Saving the asari ark was fun and felt meaningful. The final decision was also challenging.

Horizon - Hearing ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL for the first time was awesome. My Shepard enjoyed hearing him talk smack to her in the game Zaeed's loyalty mission - fry you SOB Miranda's loyalty mission - it was nice to see her throw that asari across the screen Arrival - the conversation between Shepard and Harbinger is one of the best scenes in the trilogy Ilos - the medigel dispensers - what was great about it is Conrad Verner risks his own life to protect Shepard. excellent. suicide mission - so many different scenarios to have all survive or killed firewalker dlc - short and easy from ashes - Javik IFF

Mine are the Suicide Mission (because it summarizes your progress during the game and requires some thought), Cora's Loyalty mission (it went almost as planned with only one "Deus ex Machine" turn and not from the avatar) and Feros (I had to save the colonists through actual gameplay, instead of usual cut-scenes).
Also Remnant Vaults.

I'm going to stick with ME:A and only name 3 since I haven't finished the game yet. I will also state 3 from the earlier Trilogy on a separate list:
OT: 1a) Suicide Mission from ME2 - Really shines as a culmination of that particular game. Has some corny and misplaced lines and some drawbacks and doesn't really set up the next game very well... but overall at solid 9.5 or 9.6/10
1b) Priority Tuchanka from ME3 - Terrifically tense moment with Mordin that plays out well no matter what choices the player has made to get to that point and whatever the player does in that moment. Well animated and well voiced. Also a solid 9.5 or 9.6/10
2) Project Overlord Great music and terrific ending to the DLC. It also has a very different look from the rest of the Trilogy, Hammerhead, IMO, is well implemented and adds a different challenge to the DLC. Major drawback is that it really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the major story and the role of TIM and Cerberus in the whole affair to too downplayed. 9 out of 10.
ME:A so far - Overall the game is more difficult to "score" because of it's open-world format. Story threads are interrupted as other side quests pop up... but here we go:
1) Prologue - "Is that our golden world?" line pretty much sums it up. The shuttle ride down to the planet and fall to the planet surface are all great sequences... as is the sequence after meeting up with dad; particularly when Scott or Sarah have actually done all the exploring they can on the planet. The final battle is just a complete fun rush at a tutorial level that beats any of the intro battles in the Trilogy all to hell. It was a great idea having Alec taking away much of the heat of the fire... made the ease of everything just seem more natural than just having a couple of enemies spawn at the tutorial levels. Scores a 9 out of 10.
2)Saving the Moshae - I did this after having taken Jaal on several missions on both Havarl and Voeld; and really felt the impact of his realizing that he had been killing his own people throughout. I thought all t various datapads, audio logs, syringes in the various side rooms built up the "mystery" very well... and I thought the decision between saving the facility long enough to get the hostages out (combined with the secondary decision to either save or shoot the Cardinal) or playing it "safe' and destroying it immediately was a very intense one. Also a 9/10.
3)This is the combined effect of several smaller tasks and side quests on Eos - Ghost of a Promise, What He Would Have Wanted, Naming the Dead, Secret Project, and Doesn't Add Up... telling in little bits and pieces the effort the people deployed to Sites 1 and 2 put into trying to survive and make those 2 colonies succeed... and paying an ultimate price for it. It takes time and even a bit of luck hitting these items in the "right" order to really draw all the connections... but overall it is a compelling story of "regular person" type heroism or "everyday" heroism, if you prefer. I've also found that these thematic threads run through the tasks on the other planets. 8.5/10
There are a lot more of the quests that I really do like. However, since I'm only a little over halfway in the game, I'm saving room on the list for the ones I expect are yet to come.
