I find Here Lies the Abyss, particularly Adamant Fortress, the best part of the game because I love the Grey Wardens so seeing them again was awesome. That quest was epic.

Hard to choose, so many high points. I'll go with In Your Heart Shall Burn through becoming Inquisitor. But the Temple of Mythal is right up there too. I even liked the "rituals" puzzles the first time. Once.

I like taking Griffon Wing Keep because I get to listen to Knight Captain Rylen talk about stuff afterwards. He's funny. Adamant was pretty good too, the graphics were wonderful, so were the graphics for...damn, I can't remeber it's title...where you bring Morrigan through the forest and into the Temple of Mythal.

One of my favorite parts was The Final Piece with Morrigan. Looking back from origins to now she has grown to be a more caring person and I love it.

Morrigan's my favorite female character of all DA games. Claudia Black does such a good job voicing her, she gives the character such depth, emotion and humor! Kate Mulgrew does such a wonderful job with Flemeth too, but I've been a fan of Kate's voice ever since Voyager. She has this purr to it that's so cool. Tip's hat to two very talented women.

Yeah, but it bothered me how quick she was to abandon Kieran in the Temple of Mythal. It was OOC because she was shown to be very caring before that moment.

I don't think I ever came across that event. She wants to drink from the Well of Sorrows and the Inquisitor tries to reason with her that it is dangerous and the well could kill her, brings up Kieran and she's just like "he will do well without me". It was really jarring.

Oh that scene. I didn't take it as she was abandoning him. More her own insecurities as a mother.

I used abandonment because she was willing to leave her son on her quest for power. It's like she's not even doing this for anyone she loves, she wants to do it for herself.

I like both In Hushed Whispers and Champions of the Just quite a bit. The dire mood and creepy imagery always gets to me.

I didn't take that as a quest for power as much as a quest for knowledge and the ability to defend herself against Flemeth. She knows Flemeth is still out there and she thinks Flemeth is targeting her, if Kieren wasn't with Morrigan, then he wouldn't be vulnerable to Flemeth, I took that line to mean without Morrigan around, Keiran wouldn't be in danger and he'd be better off.

In Your Heart Shall Burn is easily my favorite sequence in the game, and possibly the series thus far, right up there with the Battle of Ostagar, storming the gates of Denerim.

In Your Heart Shall Burn absolutely no question. The rest of the main story seemed rushed in comparison. That was the only part where I felt Corypheus was a threat.

I'll jump the bandwagon and say In Your Heart Shall Burn as well. Though In Hushed Whispers is pretty close.

I. Always preferred champions to whispers. Prefect ambience. Nice battle in the mind. Truly unique quest. Loved the speech kara gave when she disbanded the Templars. But such a missed opportunity. I wanted the envy demon to use images based on your background, what you chose in the trial, and your answer to the question when Josie asked you about your family.

Here Lies The Abyss (because Hawke) and In Hushed Whispers (because of seeing what the future would look like if all our plans go to shit)
That said, I haven't played Champions of the Just yet. I'll do it on my next playthrough.

In Your Heart Shall Burn hands down the quest does feel poorly written, but my views on this game's writing are well documented by now Specifically though, I think the Inquisitor going out to buy the others time to flee is the silliest moment in a quest that full of ridiculous and foolish moments (I don't include the singing scene, because its so hokey I've never actually listened to all of it). I just don't see why they would send the least expendable person, not just in the organization, but in the whole world out to certain death. The plan is to fire that Trebuchet, but how is the Inquisitor even qualified to do that? Firing artillery (especially if it needs to be aimed and ranged), is no simple matter. And even if it were to succeed, if the Inquisitor dies (as Cullen and your character seem to agree you probably will), would that not be the most utterly pointless pyrrhic victory? You'd save an army that would then be completely unable to do anything about the Fade Rifts, thus dooming the world to at the very least constant demonic attack (and that's assuming the Rifts don't get larger or start to exert more destructive effects on the area around them). All for absolutely no purpose, because the job you are doing (slowing the enemy advance, firing a war machine etc) could be done by any number of people in the Inquisition's army. Hell, Bull and the Chargers could probably do it by themselves, and with the likes of Rocky around, they'd be more qualified to fire that Trebuchet than you are! Or is Trebuchet 101 standard teaching in the Circle nowadays? Do the Dalish practice artillery drills, do you think? Its a naked case of 'We'll go out and save the day, because we're the heroes!' even though it makes absolutely no sense for you to be the one doing this (especially as you've been told that the enemy is here for you, and thus heading out in such small numbers straight towards him is hardly a wise move). And indeed, this 'plan' goes about as well as you'd expect. Right up until the villain suffers a last second attack of idiocy, he had things well in hand. He'd taken out your squad, used his magic to neutralise you, and instead of just shouting 'Cop this!' and obliterating you, he decides to go all Mr T and throws you instead - straight next to the Trebuchet he hasn't destroyed with his Dragon or magic because... er... Well anyway, he decides that instead of crushing you like a grape, he'll throw you next to the firing lever. Because its not like you've already used a Trebuchet on the mountain to tip off what your intentions are... oh no wait, yes you have... The whole quest is utterly ridiculous. Its particularly insulting when the artillery crew range and prepare the first Trebuchet, set everything up and then stand there like lemons shouting 'Pull the lever!' or whatever to you. Then everyone cheers and showers you with praise and bodily fluids over 'your' glorious tactics... Bioware games are full of this player pampering nonsense, with your character being praised for actions that other people took.
