Raging over poor netcode/lag I can understand.
Yes, "dogs" in this game can be annoying - but they're not broken. The fast-paced nature of the game means that they can get on your position very quickly, but that's not necessarily a problem.
ME3MP is a little more stable, at least as a final product. However, I couldn't count how many times I was synced by a Phantom after something had cancelled it's sync-priming melee attack. You figure you're safe, but they stutter step into an immediate sync. Aside form general lag and rubberbanding, I haven't experienced that kind of BS in MEAMP so far. Also getting staggered by the Krogan Twins isn't as much of a death sentence as getting staggered by a Prime or even a Scion. Stunlock is not BS though - just a bummer.
...but ME3MP is still more fun. (lel)

Lol, 6/6/6/6/ 1 ? I'd imagine the very first shot you take on Gold does so much damage it's an insta-disconnect or something. Anyone have the BSN Response Form handy? I seem to have misplaced mine. You intentionally didn't like my comment. I feel offended.

It is different kind of BS. I never felt bad being gutted by a cool phantom chick and I got so used to banshee penetration, it was almost a routine ritual every wave. Very few things made me really rage in ME3 even in the beginning. I guess, it is probably my individual reaction. If the enemy is cool but annoying, I can live with that. Unfortunately, neither dogs, nor breachers, nor fiends are cool from my perspective and MEA has shown me another dimension of space magic lag that consumes half of my bullets every time I dare to venture off host. And I have quite a decent connection. As many people said many times previously, MEA-MP is not bad, it is just largely unplayable and has some weird, really schizophrenic designer decisions and overloaded bad servers during peak hours. Couple this with broken netcode, lack of support and content, and weak space magic, well, you get the picture. Space magic is very strong with ME3, that covers its BS issues. I myself did not uninstall but I play only couple of hours per week. IDK why, maybe waiting for something nice to happen? Hoping I can finally get all characters leveled to 20 or max my rares? Also, I've got lots of free space on hard drive. I actually played DAIMP more than MEA, it had certain appeal, I even started to like the ass demon and dragons in the end and Calpernia was quite good looking for an enemy boss. Even DAIMP had more personality in it. Now, I hate to say that, but maybe I just dislike killing turians and cute little robots, they are not really scary or threatening. And I know nothing about kett, I have not played single player beyond first mission to get rid of the reward popups in the strike team screen. Besides, kett are largely invisible, so a fraction composed entirely of geth hunters does not really inspire. And there is something wrong with character models, especially in the lobby. Never mind, I can continue for hours, there is no point, it is very subjective. Geth. An entire faction had more BS than anything in this game. Fair enough. Exception: Geth had no "silent, teleporting, sync kill" like the Kett Fiend. (Or any sync kill at all for that matter)

You know, it just occurred to me that this definition actually doesn't work so well with video games, gambling, or games in general. After all, if you roll a die over and over and expect the same result every time, that would be pretty insane. Factoid of the day: The insanity definition above is not just something people say. It is a quote from Albert Einstein. So its genius right? Unfortunately not. It is from the later 2/3rds of Einsteins career and part of his fierce arugmentation against quantum mechanics. In the same vein as "God does not play dice". We know today that he was completely wrong and random events are in fact a huge part of modern physics. I was under the impression this quote was a bit more apocryphal. Maybe you know better but either way it holds absolutely no meaning today as it's just a legal term to distinguish if someone committed a crime while being aware of reality. OT: I still log on to collect mission funds and buy gear every week even though I haven't played in 2-3 weeks. If there are no major changes that make the game fun that 2-3 weeks will stretch. Still, it will be hard to uninstall because I am powerless at the feet of sunk cost fallacy.

I'm still in between. There's days when I want to throw the game away cause I think it's shit, I can't really throw it away, it's digital lol but you know what I mean and then there's other days I'm having fun cause I'm playing with a few real close friends of mine, so I'm swinging back and forward all the time but one thing is certain and that thing is that I'm definitely not having as much fun as I was with me3 days. Save a copy of the icon before you uninstall and then you can put that in the recycle bin. Flawless victory.

Geth. An entire faction had more BS than anything in this game. Strangely, I was never annoyed by geth. Triple rocket to the face always comes as a surprise, I just say WOW every time it happens and pick myself up from the floor. Both geth and cerberus are full of it but it makes the victory so much sweeter. I never get this feeling in Meda. For some reason end of a match is highly anticlimactic, there is no orgasm, only simple relief.

ME3 had just as much bullshit, but some posters here act like it was perfect. It is not perfect it is just better designed and taken care off. MEAMP is a castrated version of ME3MP with jetpacks.

ME3 had just as much bullshit, but some posters here act like it was perfect. While I understand how easy we tend to forget, I think that, and in spite of all its 'bullshit', and wrecking two of my ps3, one was for exclusively playing me3, buying a new one, in the process, just for playing no collector me3 games exclusively, and till yesterday, the game's fun factor (must have been to you as well), was/is what got us to ignore all its shortcomings. MEA in comparison, in my opinion, is shallow and bores pretty quickly, that's why people can't forgive it's flaws... I had an identical experience to this, right down to avoiding Collectors on my second PS3 - bought solely because of my addiction to ME3 MP. Now, having got bored with every single aspect of MEA I'm playing ME3 again on XB1 (mostly), and finding it truly glorious. Still. I'm over 3000 hours now, compared to about 100 of MEA. It's not perfect, but it's perfect for me, just about. And before anyone says it's just a case of building up my manifest, I should point out that I have four N7 120 accounts and one N7 1920 (retired), so I've shown that I actually enjoy 'the grind' when the game itself is fun. Promotions weren't fun, so I only did them once for the challenge points. Sure, I hate the Geth like everybody else, but that's why decapitating them with a Claymore feels so damn good. I also agreed with every word akots said. Yes, these are subjective feelings - if someone out there is enjoying MEA I'm happy for them - but they're pretty strong subjective feelings, to the point that I have to suspect that most people are still simply trying to get their money's worth and pretending they're having fun. I like Backlash, Flak Cannon and Cryo trap as powers, and I prefer the soft-cover and blind fire mechanics in MEA, and that's it. I don't know where the fun is actually supposed to come from. The game needs a significant quad transplant. I've also just found out courtesy of JRandall0308 that there won't be MP DLC in any form other than drip-feed patched content, and I'm just left shaking my head at the state of a franchise I have adored for six years (SP and MP), during which time I have found it hard to engage with anything other than Mass Effect, with Naughty Dog producing the only games I have played more than once. I do appreciate everything he has done to try to engage with the devs to make improvements, but as my dad would say, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. MEA will go down in gaming history along with No Man's Sky, ironically the game it set out wanting to be, as a steaming turd with a tired face. No amount of polishing that turd is going to produce a diamond. No, the game is not that bad, but it's certainly not that good. I'm out. But I'll see you in the ME3 MP section if you want to have fun.

Yes, "dogs" in this game can be annoying - but they're not broken. The fast-paced nature of the game means that they can get on your position very quickly, but that's not necessarily a problem. They may not be "broken" - and I do understand their purpose in the game - but I still find them to be my single biggest annoyance with it. I admit I've not played nearly as many different games as many here have, but I don't recall ever encountering an enemy as annoying as the dogs of MEA. The vast majority of the times when I'm interrupted from completing something I set out to do, or fall in battle, it's because of a dog. I wouldn't mind it so much if their appearance were only occasional, but I feel like I encounter at least a half dozen of them every.single.wave. If they get within 3 meters of your character, they will stagger you, and if you don't take them out quickly enough, they will stunlock you out of cover for a time. On top of all of that, some of them are invisible, and the breacher's kiss interaction is truly weird. All of the other low-level enemies (chosen, raiders, assemblers) will run, dodge, take cover, seek a different target. Not dogs. Once they target you, they will continue their charge until they are either successful or killed. You cannot evade them - you must deal with them, right now. Their existence and their numbers mean that I'll be prevented from taking that final kill shot, detonating that primer I've set up, getting into that position I've selected, etc. multiple times every wave. The result is that I'm constantly robbed of the satisfaction of successfully completing the things I want to do. My team may have completed the wave, objective, match, but I still feel a lack of satisfaction due to all of the times I was not able to complete an action - mostly because of dogs. I suppose I should also state that I'm typically much more interested in strategy/tactics than full-on reactive action gaming - and MEA has moved much more into the latter category. ME3 had it's share of cloaking, teleporting, grenade-tossing enemies that would flush you out of cover, but MEA has taken that to a whole new level with the attacks that harm and stagger you through cover, and the goddamned dogs. The primary reason for my dwindling interest in this game is the dogs. I don't find them entertaining or challenging, just incredibly annoying fun thieves.

Technically I have uninstalled as I am in the process of upgrading to a 2 Tb hard drive.... I will probably reinstall... though.. it will be at the bottom of the list.. If I didn't have a couple of trophies to get that I am working on (the strike team @level 20 e.g.) I probably wouldn't bother, which I am actually quite sad about Wanted to love this MP so much.

It's often said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, and every day i would launch this game and hope that this time would be different and i would not ragequit cursing about how stupid this game is. Well today i had enough and i realized that nothing is going to change so i guess i am mostly sane now. The straw that broke the camel's back was a 2 suicide breachers. 1st shields down + stun, second health gate + stun after that i was finished of by some random mook and i was like yeah f*** this game i have better things to do. My only regret is that i paid for the super deluxe digital whatever edition to get the 20 free packs that i did not even get to open all cause they give them to you 1 per week so that you are not in danger of having too much fun. Ah well thanks for reading my rant. I should go now. Ah well if you played allot since launch, you got your moneys worth out of it.
