I don't expect a response from his boss to my email anytime before Wednesday due to the extended holiday weekend, but it was done. And included my cell phone number and other personal details, showing my sincerity and desire to discuss this entire situation.

Wow, it takes a long time to read through this thread if you come to it late. The only thing I can add to this is that John Steinbeck once said time is the only critic without ambition. A smart writer would just let other critics say their piece and let time be the final judge if they're confident of their wisdom.
