This thread requires a preface. It's a fascinating journey from a piece of breaking news, to doubt, to a hoax being exposed. Sad news, peeps, if true...still waiting for word from BioWare/EA: "This news saddens us to say, but it was made official after a meeting this week that there will be no story DLC for Mass Effect Andromeda. Due to issues in initial production, heavy critique, significant delays in other projects it was decided to shelve the franchise for the time being and all resources and outsourcing are being focused to the 2018 release of Anthem. For the moment the Mass Effect series will be on ice until BioWare can decide which direction the franchise will go. Too many contradictions between what we've been told and what is being said. Only EA/BW can settle things, but there's the proof that ME will continue, so that's what I am glad to hear. Once I heard Anthem was being delayed, I suspected things weren't going that great timeline-wise.

On the bright side, we're getting more patches and ME is going to continue, and this is also a good thing since they will have improved a lot by 2018/2019 and things will still happen, and recently the fan demand for MEA and DLC is growing, so it's not over.

As much as I am glad I know now, this could have some serious feedback for the person posting on Facebook unless their account was hacked (which I highly doubt). Publishers have long memories just like fans and this could cost them contracts and not just with EA, for would any publisher that is making a decision like that want to have some third party under contract decide what should be announced instead of them.
No DLC, no biggie for me. I will just move onto other games.
