The ME:A 'Story DLC Cancelled' Sinclair Networks Facebook hoax

Which article would this be? Depending on the particular bandwagon they may have jumped on, they may have a vested interest in pushing the hate train as its credibility took a hit thanks to Sinclair Networks, and without credibility they're basically just another loony screaming about the illuminati. Happens in journalism (of all forms) all the time.

Indeed how can they b ewrong if there is no DLC incoming anyway if anything I think Biowaer stepped in because there is going to be DLC or they'er at least considering it. They wouldn't have jumped in otherwise I don't think.

This isn't an excuse. I'm dislike EA's/Bioware's policy as much as the next guy but desperation for information shouldn't override common sense.

I didn't even question the existence of Sinclair Networks when I first heard the claim, because of the prep this guy had done (I was aware of the name). However, when this company - who up to this point I was dimly aware of being involved in in patching to some unknown extent - suddenly started acting as Bioware's mouthpiece, using language that sounded like some nut from Reddit, my initial thought was scepticism, much the same way I'd react if Doris who'd been living down the road for a weeks comes over asking for £50 loan. 

I don't get why anyone read this and their first reaction was 'hahahaha, told you so!'. I just hope all these people never get a call from the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce.

Although I am surprised they have not shoehorned a link to either Princess Diana or Cancer into that article.

I admit I tried to see both sides, my gut said lies, my mind said it could be possible before we learned it's not even a company, but I am sad at the amount of people that just take anything in an article as fact.

That is because its what many people wanted to hear, they wanted andromeda to be burried and never talked ever again. Since the information goes their ways, since they want it to be true, it will be true.

So since they want no dlc for andromeda, for many sinclair networks shall be a real company...

Well... I appreciate you and Faceman handing out a healthy dose of reality and skepticism. I speculated Faceman and you were right. I asked about Sinclair Networks when it was first mentioned fresh off the details that EA Austria had worked on some parts of Andromeda. I was already angry with EA for shuttling work around the globe. It made perfect sense to me that another Austrian studio was doing work. I only found their Facebook page and I dived in. I found the owner's super rig and thought mine was so weak. I read so many posts about how much great work they've done in the past. Did I pick up the phone? No! It's Austria and what the hell am I going to say? Did I post on Facebook. No. I don't have an account (yeah, I wear a tinfoil cap because my bosses said to do it) so I didn't engage then. I just took it as EA being cheap and not putting work into Montreal, Edmonton or Austin. Anyway, goes to show what a company looks like without great public representation. Thank the Maker for these forums. The fire was put out before EA's PR/Marketing team had to do anything.
