I admit I tried to see both sides, my gut said lies, my mind said it could be possible before we learned it's not even a company, but I am sad at the amount of people that just take anything in an article as fact. yeah I was kind of on both sides to onot sure what to believe but after all the teasing Boiware have been doing but I felt it best to wait till Bioware responded because they would know the truth one way or another given MEA is their baby and how best to defend it. Yeah BW will respond if it's serious enough. Anything they don't react to is because it's not important or worth the effort (like certain articles about shelving the game).

The first obvious clue was that no game company that actually wants to milk their game, would say something as "no more paid content will be created". If such company is ever forced to do it, they will spin it to look as if they're doing it for your own good. The second clue, that some did notice, is that the writing style, pictures, source, etc. is just not how "official PR communication" is done, is a big red herring to anyone who knows even a little how companies make official statements.
I can't believe people are this gullible, that they need to make calls and investigate this hoax to feel comfortable.

Basically it was putting out a fire that could be fanned by others (and everyone needs hardcore proof nowadays), and getting BW to notice shit was happening and to take some action. Also this bio is SO fake I regret not seeing it before LOL www.imdb.com/name/nm8647174/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm

The level of psycho people go to for their hate is astounding. I mean a fake news network? The timing couldn't be more amusing.
I'm now more certain than ever that DLC is coming. They wouldn't bother to shut down the rumor if it were true. I feel like it's part of a 1-2 punch where they shut this down and then in a few weeks they announce the DLC. All us who had faith in them will be laughing at how hard people worked to make it look dead as we blissfully play that new DLC. Ahhhh life is sweet.

I seriouly doubt there was going to be DLC before this article. Oh yes because every company waits for fake journalism to lie about what they are doing and then decides to respond by doing something they hadn't planned and most especially allocating a bunch of resources to it. Sorry, that's not how things work in the business world for billion dollar companies. Not even remotely close to how businesses do business.

Haha just read an article where they state BW proved the no story DLC was wrong, then went on to say that despite that, no one is working on DLC because they are working on Anthem and no DLC at E3 likely proves that it wont happen. Journalists lol Indeed how can they b ewrong if there is no DLC incoming anyway if anything I think Biowaer stepped in because there is going to be DLC or they'er at least considering it. They wouldn't have jumped in otherwise I don't think. There is absolutely DLC coming. From that express news link which is: www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/823027/Mass-Effect-Andromeda-DLC-BioWare-update-cancellation-hoax-AnthemScroll down to: "When we can, we will." They cannot respond now much as they might like because clearly there is a policy in place to not announce it until they are ready to announce it however that is determined. Critical thinking folks. When not IF. WHEN. It's happening. DLC IS coming. They just aren't going to talk about it until they are ready. They might have timed their DLC update around specific game releases just as they time their game releases around other game releases. Or they might have decided to polish the hell out of the DLC after the massive backlash they got on the game itself. But WHEN? Pretty clear that is a fact that DLC is coming.

We also need to remember that even the logical fans were so desperate for any news on MEA, that many wanted to believe anything they found. EA needs a new marketing strategy to avoid this chaos in the future. SN seemed willing to do what BW/EA did not. Talk to the fans. This isn't an excuse. I'm dislike EA's/Bioware's policy as much as the next guy but desperation for information shouldn't override common sense. I didn't even question the existence of Sinclair Networks when I first heard the claim, because of the prep this guy had done (I was aware of the name). However, when this company - who up to this point I was dimly aware of being involved in in patching to some unknown extent - suddenly started acting as Bioware's mouthpiece, using language that sounded like some nut from Reddit, my initial thought was scepticism, much the same way I'd react if Doris who'd been living down the road for a weeks comes over asking for £50 loan. I don't get why anyone read this and their first reaction was 'hahahaha, told you so!'. I just hope all these people never get a call from the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce. It's that same critical thinking skill that makes people say 'well he said it so it must be true.' Even when there is a mountain of evidence showing it is not true. Same kind of logic being applied here. Someone wrote it so it must be true. LOL I actually think the people jumping all over the hoax are the ones who hate and want to see failure. They went out of their way to help see it fail in many cases. So it's more about wanting to believe it because it makes them feel better than whether or not it's based in truth.

Validating people's bias is one of the surest way to ensure they don't actually fact-check your claims. You see it in politics all the time.

It's a beautiful final scene tbh.

There's so many people in this forum that are on that bandwagon that sometimes less clear comments can swing either way. My bad. Apologies.

Indeed I want there to be DLC as well and I agree I think we will get some. I was just pointing out that atm we have no DLC and until some gets officially announced that'll stay the case so their not completely wrong yet. When Bioware announces one and delivers then that fact will change. I suspect we'll hear something in July though as I do get the feeling that Bioware are getting close to announcing something. Especially with all the recent teasing they've been doing.

Don't mind me, just lurking here waiting for suikoden. We all are. But I bet troll cave is very comfortable right now. He doesn't want to admit he was tricked after believing so much in the hoax to the point where he changed his avatar to show people. Very embarrassing moment for him.
