Anyone ever done one? I am sure 4 GIs have entered that bar, speedrun vids are full of Infiltrators.
Adept only squads have been done, because they kill fast too.
What about Sentinels only? Engineers?
I am looking for an excuse to bother old friends and make them play with me.
Edit: should have looked in HoF, but dammit I'm tired and lazy.

The original premise does sound interesting enough and there would be some easy pickings like 4 Tsents, 4 Valkyries... or 4 Demogrills  for sure... But yep, interesting indeed. Cobras-restricted runs i presume? Obligatory, why not to take look at the Themed Challenges for that something new/bring back friends thing? there's so much good stuff in there and for all the kind of tastes. |

The Themed Challenges site has specific team challenges that the players made into speedruns due to the competitive nature in its heyday, but I don't think there were any such categories that were made for that.
I like the idea, and would certainly take part for console should we somehow be able to garner enough interest.

Sorry about that I'm not really as good with my krogan as I am with my asari, but will happily join a krogan melee squad, even if it means going against *shudder*... geth. Besides, nobody said we can't play more than one themed game  Oh yeah, my timezone is GMT +1, so if anybody would like to, I'll be ready to play in an hour or so. For example: no duplicate characters, no duplicate weapons, no incendiary ammo (or something to deal with incendiary glitch), no nukes outside objective waves, no hack glitch and no pizza run. These rules would make team comps more varied, represent the currently played class a lot better and eliminate incendiary glitch and other sneaky tricks that soloists use all the time  I'd be happy to join a team on PS3 if this becomes a thing. |

I agree for the most part, but I'm coming at this from a slightly different perspective and am much more OCD about adhering to the lore than I am about shaving seconds off times. I want to know how a Turian squad using Turian weapons compares against a Krogan squad using Krogan weapons etc, when played by the same team of players. In that context the 'no duplicate weapons' suggestion would be problematic, but I get where you're coming from in terms of trying to avoid 4 Reegars (or 3 max if I'm involved lol) or Harriers. The obvious problem with 'my way' is that certain species either have only UR weapons at their disposal (Salarians/Vorcha) or none (Drell/Volus), so something would have to be agreed on for them. There is also the issue of #unmaxedmanifestproblems - if I was competitive I could log back into my maxed account, but I'm not so I won't, and think that avoiding UR weapons completely is probably the best way to go. (I don't really care about Incendiary Ammo being used on anything other than the Reegar tbh, with the possible exception of the BatSol and KroSol, and maybe the Huntress. In non-competitive circumstances I use it regularly on my GE and TSent with no guilt or shame of any kind. But yeah, you're probably right.) I'm also available on PS3 should Quiggles manage the descent safely, and even though my mic doesn't work on PS3, I would love to play with the person who has the funniest sig on BSN. Hope you're feeling better dude.
