I gave Andromeda a shot yesterday, because of the free 10 hr trial in origin. I didn't hate it and found the first match or two kind of fun, but then every other match ended in disconnects. I get a disconnect maybe once every 10-15 matches in ME3 MP. Not to mention, it was a total lag shitfest. Me3 MP is laggy, sure, but Andromeda takes it to a new level. Rubberbanding was insane. If that's the sort of experience that awaits in Andromeda I'll be fine staying in the Milky Way.

Considering that they want all their games to run on Frostbyte, and given their track record with said engine, expect more of this in Anthem.

I've been playing MEA since it came out and I don't have as many disconnects anymore as I did when I first started playing it. I have almost none actually. With that said, MEA MP needed a lot of work. When it first came out, it was very boring. They have done good things to improve it, but it still feels weak compared to ME3. This is mainly because the game feels too easy, and the characters don't have as much personality as the ME3 characters do. Also there aren't as many fun loadouts in MEA as there are in ME3. I also hate the way the leveling system is in MEA as well. Each character has to be leveled individually. This is the worst thing ever and I don't even want to play other characters because of this.
Believe it or not, I actually never got in ME3's MP until AFTER MEA came out and I was disappointed with it. My friend recommended playing it. And good lord am I hooked to ME3's MP. I so wish I played this mode earlier.

Another thing I forgot to mention is, why are enemies so ridiculously accurate ALL the time in MEA? Not sure if anyone has played it recently, but even the standard cannon fodder enemies like the Raiders have god like accuracy from across the map on Gold and Platinum. Its funny that MEA gives you all these cool evasion tools like jet jumps, dashes and boosting. But enemies have ridiculous accuracy.
And does anyone find Remnant fun at all? The have absolutely nothing on the geth. And Observers might be the most annoying enemy in the series. I hate their tracking laser attack (I know infiltrators can evade it briefly but still) and even the Assemblers seem to never miss. Hell, even Collector Captains have issues hitting a target at times on Gold and higher.
One of the biggest gripes I have with the game is the factions. They are nowhere near as cool as the ME3 ones. The Outlaws seem interesting but they are nowhere near as cool as Cerberus. Call me weird, but I love that Cerberus has battle chatter and call outs. They feel like a cohesive unit that is trying to kill you. The Outlaws are just so quiet you never know who is on the field. In ME3, you knew when a Phantom was on the field. In MEA a giant fiend was able to sneak up on you making zero noise.
Lastly, combat is widely inferior because it doesn't have the "oomph" that ME3 has. Weapons feel strong in ME3 and you feel like you're hurting the enemies. Its pretty satisfying to put a Widow shot in a Prime's head and have it flinch in pain. Or how about making heads roll as the Shadow? Or punching someone's face clean off as a Batarian? The combat doesn't feel strong in MEA and enemies don't react to being hit in a satisfying way. Plus most ME3 characters feel unique. Outside of powers all MEA characters feel samey with the same looking melees.
Sorry for the novel. As I said, I just started ME3's MP a little over 4 months ago and I'm in love with it. I also thought an opinion of someone not influenced by nostalgia could be useful to some.

Obbie nailed it.
I think a lot of us who still play have had long breaks playing, I think mine was probably 6 months or more. But I still get that 'oooh where am I and who am I fighting' excitement loading into an UUG. I still like trying to guess which map it is based on the soundtrack as it loads 😁
MEA just has no soul. I don't get the immersion connection of playing a map based on a location in the SP, because the SP overall was a bit boring.

I haven't been playing ME3 regularly for months, but between going back to those crappy Andromedafail turians with their dumb spindly legs, shitty plastic armor and derp looking faces and going back to the cool fat milky way turians with big bulky armor and adorable faces, well, which one do you think I'd choose.

Many of the characters in MEA MP are ANNOYING as hell. Please tell me I'm not the only one that has a problem with the effeminate lisping krogan? The female krogans sound like idiots in the main campaign and in MP. In MP they say the dumbest crap on top of sounding dumb. I refuse to play the female krogan. Even the male ones feel so... mellow compared to the ME3 one. Like where is that little laugh they do when they go into rage. Why do they only have a lame headbutt. Where is the backhand that sends enemies flying? The salarian infiltrator sounds like an idiot also. He actually says "look out its your friendly neighborhood Hydra." Turians also look off as someone else mentioned, many of the humans look weird, and several of the characters are very similar to ME3 characters, but not as interesting. And I definitely know what you mean. MEA feels more "plastic" and not as impressive as ME3. Though its not all bad. I do like the human female Adept and human female Infiltrator because I think they're pretty cute, fun to play and they sound almost like ME3 characters with their dialogue (as in they sound like people in a fight and not some daft high school punk). Every time I want to branch out and use another character, I don't feel like it because the leveling system in that game is absurd and it takes forever to level characters too. MEA isn't terrible, but its vastly inferior to ME3.

MEA isn't terrible, but its vastly inferior to ME3. Yeah, MEA isn't terrible per se, but if you compare it with ME3 it gets completely destructed. You cited one of the flaws of MEA: characters have no soul. This is particually true for Krogans. What is being a krogan? Being a krogan is running toward an enemy, regardless of hostile fire, roaring and charging it with your HEAVY MELEE, and watch it flying while you're hysterical screaming MUAHAHAHA! Immediately after you're pointing your CLAYMORE toward an enemy head, making it explode in thousands pieces and hearing that satisfying sound which blends extremely well with the boom of your Shoutgun. And your teammates nearby are congratulating with you, the young Krogan covered in Ravager bloody slime shouting "AH AH, HEADSHOT!! and the Volus "PFHHSK, OUTSTANDING! while counting his credits" What in Andromeda? Your running animation makes you look like a fatty drag queen, you cannot sustain too much fire, you have to spam your JETPACK like a fucking frog or bird if you want to survive, and you cannot use your heavy melee. No hysterical laughing, your voice seem like the one of a 12 yo who is going through hormone therapy. You have to use your lame headbutt that has no impact, and you have no Claymore. But at least you can headshot, right? No, sorry, you're playing off host, so HSs are completely random. And, by the way, they are not worthy, since heads exploding look like and sound like a cow farting. What are your teammates saying meanwhile? Well, there's that human kineticist who's constantly screaming "COVER YOUR BRAIN", that asari adept who is using Lance, which is powered by her shields (like nova in me3) who, after depleting them by firing the last lance, says "WHO NEEDS SHIELDS ANYWAY??, and that "Turian" something which is continuously complaing "I NEED AMMMO" or "AMMMO, ANYONE", while using a weapon that uses no thermal clips, even when it's fully charged. Cool! Ehm, i mean, COOLYO!!

I've just imagined that scene and it's so glorious and hilarious at the same time Everytime I hear a Volus shouting "PAYDAY!" or "EARN YOUR CREDITS!" cracks me up And don't assume they only care about the next payment - "For Irune!" What in Andromeda? Your running animation makes you look like a fatty drag queen, you cannot sustain too much fire, you have to spam your JETPACK like a fucking frog or bird if you want to survive, and you cannot use your heavy melee. Cool! Ehm, i mean, COOLYO!! Well, I'm sad to say that, but I think it's appropriate in case of Andromeda. Hear me out. ME 3 was focused on what? War with the Reapers. You played as a super human, terminator machine Shepard in SP. You had the best of the best crew you could even imagine. In multiplayer you played as a squad of incredible soldiers, capable of doing impossible things. So it was obvious they couldn't shout some silly things like "COVER YOUR BRAIN" or something. Elite doesn't do that. Andromeda was more casual in every single way - Lore wise and gameplay wise. They sent a bunch of "teenagers" who pretend to be a military squad. Some Krogans who couldn't finish the rite of passage, criminal Turians, Salarian scientists and so on. In other words, the premise of that game is very different, so I understand what BioWare did. I'm not saying I like that, in fact I find it so boring and dumb that I still haven't bought the game. And probably never will. Imagine Kett showing up in the Milky Way galaxy... They would be wiped inside an hour lol (using only Volus Mercenaries I may add )

They would be wiped inside an hour lol (using only Volus Mercenaries I may add ) You're partially right about this aspect, the devs wanted to reflect the minor expertise of the apex team also through the use of some not so serious quotes, but unfortunately the result was something, in many cases, really embarrassing (some quotes are really bad), not immersive (they don't seem they are speaking in the heat of battle, since some of them sound really calm) and not as useful for the player as they are in me3 (in me3 quotes are short and informative, "MY SOUP" "POWER", in mea sometimes they are too long "OH, NO, MY SHIELDS ARE DOWN" "WHO NEEDS SHIELDS, ANYWAY?" and so fail to promptly inform the player about the immediate danger). And, BTW, not all chars are a bunch of "loosers", some were former members of the STG, Asari Commandos or Justicars, or mercenaries from the Terminus system. And even me3 has some criminals and unorthodox characters: Cerberus defectives, mercenaries from the Terminus system (mainly the Vorchas and Batarians), Voluses. And their quotes are not so bad.

I just imagined this in my head and it had me smiling. This is so true. This is what it means to be a krogan. MEA doesn't capture that at all. Why can't the girl krogans sound like Bakara at least. But I totally agree with you on everything else as well. Its part of the reason why I cannot get into MEA MP as much as ME3's. I like that most of the ME3 characters feel dangerous but are also professional and can be funny without being over bearing. Vorcha in particular always make me chuckle when they say "DYING" "PAIN" or "I'M ALIVE." Its funny because not only what they say, but it fits the Vorcha. MEA characters are too casual and they sound like idiots. I could be wrong but I think I heard the Krogan Gladiator in MEA go "pew pew pew" in that obnoxiously bad voice and I immediately rage quit and never used her again. And I personally really hate this laid back, casual, teenage dream nonsense they have going in MEA. You are exploring a new friggin' galaxy. You shouldn't be that damn casual about everything. Exploring a galaxy is a big deal.

ME:A lacks weight, period. Good god wtf is that shit? No headbutt, no deep raspy 'smoke two packs a day' Krogan voice, no Claymore, that little shit that "won" that "fight" would've been killed by a fucking Husk. For fuck's sake Bakara is so much more bad ass than those twats. God that voice is awful, did I mention that yet? Jesus, imagine if they had Grunt with them. Andromeda would've been taken in a day. And seriously what the fuck is up with, "Well you have to give us something..." fucking backhand him with your Claymore and shoot him in the face! That's the Krogan way for god sake. I forgot, ME:A doesn't have any of those things, including the headshot and proper Krogan apparently. /rant

I couldn't agree with you more. That Inert's video made me triple facepalm... I'm speachless. Look at this masterpiece. Do I even have to explain it? Also notice that reload cancel! I've never seen any creature doing it faster than that... not even with Marksman or Adrenaline Rush.. The badassery level is off the charts.

Not much dialogue needed. Seriously though, I love Grunt: Heh, Heh, Heh.

ME:A lacks weight, period. Its kind of funny that both Drack and Ryder are shaking their heads almost in disgust as to how bad that fight scene was. I had to roll my eyes when I saw that scene. Morda is probably the most obnoxious krogan in MEA and this video shows why. And what's sad is that all the female krogan sound like this. I think Bioware is just so into being inclusive of everyone that they don't realize how badly characters like this come off. If I remember right, Morda is voiced by some transexual man who has no real voice acting experience. And what annoys me more is that MEA tries too hard to be inclusive. Almost like Bioware is rubbing it in our faces as to how progressive they are. Its funny because the original trilogy was more progressive without being annoying about it. As a quick example, they put Indian characters in MEA. But they are typical tech junkies with typical accents. But in the original trilogy, an Indian man's WIFE gives her life defending Eden Prime. To me, that was more progressive than anything MEA did. Isn't it also lore breaking that female Krogan are in places of power and leadership? As far as I remember, when they left for Andromeda, the male krogans were still dominant and females (despite being the brains) were not in any leadership roles.

When I watched it I wasn't even sure if those krogan were male or female (maybe a sexchange operation gone awry???). And whats with that ninja kung-fu fight??
And the dialogue... ZzZzZzZzZ Wha?? Yeah, I've got five credits....
