Kotaku - Sources: Mass Effect: Andromeda Will Not Get Single-Player DLC

I think you need to catch up on this before commenting on it. I can't think of the last time where 'just reporting what sources have said' involved lurking on forums gathering screenshots to make twitter trolls like some freaky stalker.

Ignoring the fact that BSN is as bad as people think?

I have no ire towards Jason as far as his article goes.

My ire entirely stems from him screenshotting posters here - leaving their user name and avatars fully in view and not blurred/cropped out - and blasting it out to his 39,000+ Twitter followers and essentially, unintentionally I certainly hope, putting a target on them for any of his followers who might feel a need to "come to his defense", simply because they expressed skepticism at his anonymous sources.

I actually don't care one lick about his article. I don't even care that he wanted to screenshot posts here (it's a public forum, after all) and essentially say "point and laugh at the angry nerds". I'm pissed off that he basically did a public "name and shame" using his public/large-following account of private individuals. Some had to quickly change their Twitter bio info to protect their real life identities and not be doxxed from this event, and one forum member deleted their profile as a result.

THAT'S where my ire stems from, and a lot of others here, too.

 To say that Jason is a jerk would be an understatement. 

No ire... I want him to instead use his Twitter account to get a positive, encouraging message through to Bioware instead of just to mock me and my posts.  I want Bioware to know that I, for one, will support DLC for ME:A by buying it.  If enough other people do the same, I think that, they will see that they can make some money on this DLC and go ahead and make it.  (A "Field of Dreams" scenario, if you want a movie analogy -  Bioware - If you build it, I will buy it).  It sure beats wallowing in Mr. Schrier's & friends' pity-party.  Even though I might be disappointed someday... at least for right now, I'm improving the odds that I won't be.

For me the most curious thing is that, according to the article, he seemingly spent the last few weeks contacting his sources to find out if there's gonna be DLC or not, and he just happened to get a definitive answer mere hours after the Sinclair Network hoax.

Yeah the timing was kind of suspicious, the worst part about it is that he took personally the fact that people showed skepticism to his articles, JUST AFTER we had a hoax and a lot of huge sites with tons of ressources believed that fake facebook acount.

When all the sites were this incompetent, and did not bother to do any research and many people were pretty much confuse about what happened, of course some people are going to be skeptics about what they read. But that apparently did not come to jason's minds... 

Wait..what? This guy screenshotted and did a name and shame?

Wow. Unacceptable. Any inclination I had to take this guy seriously has gone out the airlock; to the point that there may need to be a complaint filed with his superiors.

While I hoped that he was wrong, from what I could ascertain from his professional record-he seemed fairly solid. I still hoped he was wrong, but it was something I kept on the back burner for consideration.

However, if he wants to act like a little bitch that thinks his word is gold and no one is supposed to pushback, then he can go live in hell.

His recent tweets have him claiming sympathy for the devs...that they didn't get a "second chance" with their "failure" of a game.

Ignoring how that kind of thing is something an utterly loathsome person would do—claim to be sympathetic while insulting and attacking the people whom you claim sympathy for—I think that kind of mindset sums up exactly why Schreier's clickbait should not be trusted.

Fans of the game have shown and expressed their love of the game. And they've also taken a look at EA's statement and various sales-related figures and have come to the conclusion that the game has done well in sales.

Why would Schreier not have his head completely up his backside in regards to DLC rumours just like he has his head completely up his backside in regards to the popularity of the game? Why think that he won't choose to ignore all of the clues that point to the existence of future DLC just like he's chosen to ignore the people who enjoy the game and are eagerly awaiting future DLC?

The tragedy of this all is that, when it is proven that Schreier's clickbait garbage is indeed garbage, the condemnation he'll receive for publishing false information that damages the sales and reputation of the game and developers will be nothing compared to the abuse and harassment the developers are now receiving thanks to his clickbait.

That would explain his bias against the game in his articles that have nothing to do with the development but purely on the game itself...
