What if the next 2 Andromeda books are the DLC O_o What if they tie up all the loose ends from the game? I know it sounds stupid.

That's a thought I've had for sometime tbh. The rage would be great however because gamers don't want to read the conclusions, they want to play them.

There is way too much to tell to fit in one book, and even if it is, Mass effect is not a linear game, its a game about choices, you can have two different protagonist with different personality, different romances, different sexual orientation, and different story choices etc. Its all depending on how you played and there is too many variables, a novel cannot take into account all of those different choices.

Good point! At this point we'd be shoved into a canon situation and people already got upset at that with Wrex.

Lucky for you there's more than 1 book then. Would be nice if they have an audiobook option.

However, i'm not throwing my hat in the ring just, yet. Because we just got a release date for Annihilation, it certainly didn't have a grand announcement or anything like that from a BioWare point-of-view; which is kinda strange, to me. It was random blip on the 26th page of a 40 page announcement, that know one would have known (at least on here) about if it wasn't a topic on here. If nothing is announced/released between now and September 1st (the release date for Annihilation), then there's cause for concern--if BioWare remains silent still till that point.

A friend is looking into some news that got buried by SN and Kotaku, where a writer or dev said we'd get a satisfying ending with some loose ends tied up. It was some Twitch stream this happened, and seems to be legit.

What if....the books were cancelled as well? This sounds like an amazing 30 for 30 one day. *Inserts deep voice/trailer voice*.... "What if I told you about a video game that had a hoax, cryptic tweets, and a dude named Jason...would you believe me?"

What if....the books were cancelled as well? You seem to be more invested in our collective disappointment than we are in a DLC. It's just weird.

Then I am quite probably done with Bioware.
Anthem enthusiasm going to negative territory and Dragon Age never being the franchise to keep me around and if MEA-->Anthem-->DA4 indicates a design direction, I may at least mostly quietly 'bow out'.
MEA DLC that is quality and significantly improves my view of the game (or rather turns the 7/10 if I had to rate, to a 8/10), keeps me in. Wouldn't have been the case if it wasn't for several faults of base MEA, but eh. I'll take 10s more hours (for one playthrough) of DLC for $10s and at least see what happens.

"What if I told you about a video game that had a hoax, cryptic tweets, and a dude named Jason...would you believe me?" No. Kinda be sad too if the books are the conclusion. For it would be over rather quick... Even if the books were 200 pages I would be done in less than an hour.

What if the next 2 Andromeda books are the DLC O_o What if they tie up all the loose ends from the game? I know it sounds stupid. There's little pissing me off when it comes to gaming. But this would leave me royally pissed, since I bought a game expecting it to be finished. Not with to be continued in the next book or in multiplayer. Both don't interest me the slightest bit.
