Does anyone know why Fraps wouldn't work (for basic screenshotting) in ME3 when it was working fine in ME1 and 2? The settings are the same and it's up to date so I don't understand what the issue could be. ETA: it worked fine in 2012, when I last played it...

Hmmm, not sure. I can only tell you that it worked fine for me yesterday. Do you still see the frame rate in the corner or doesn't that work either? Have you tried to turn off Origin game overlay? Maybe that interferes? That's just a wild guess though.

Maybe that interferes? That's just a wild guess though. Fraps FR counter shows up in the desktop (and in ME2 just last week), but not in the game itself. I haven't tried turning off the Origin game overlay -- that may be it! Will try next time I play. Thanks for the suggestion.

So Fraps DOES work if I disable Origin in Game. HOWEVER, if I do that, it does not recognize any of my installed DLC and so won't load any of my current saves. KHAN!!!!!!

This is actually really frustrating because disabling the overlay would improve the FR as well, and the computer I'm playing on is not great. But if the internet is correct, you apparently have to be online and signed in for the DLC to work? Or, in my case, to even open a save file that you've played with the DLC recognized?

Afaik, enabling / disabling the overlay has zero bearing on whether you're connected / logged in or not. You might have a different issue.

Yea, that's really odd. Are you sure you didn't disable something else (are you still online). It's weird because even if you weren't online with Origin, your DLCs should still work. If nothing else works, try warranty Voider's DLC patcher. It comes with almost any content mod you can download from Nexus or just get it from the link in the ME3Explorer Wiki. That patcher disables DLC authorization altogether. Don't worry, everyone who uses content mods (including me) uses it and it has no bearing on you Origin account, ME3, save ro whatever, it's safe to use. But again, check Origin. What you described there really shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Yeah, everything was connected and the same -- DRM authorization just suddenly started failing after I disabled Origin in game. It actually wouldn't even work after I re-enabled it. I did fix it by deinstalling and reinstalling Origin, so I guess something glitched there. I also reinstalled the game before I did that, but I think that was probably unnecesary because it only started authorizing my DLC after I reinstalled Orign.
