During an APEX mission last month they hinted at the Quarian Ark (even said the name) and it's the last thing you hear about in the Epilogue, so it's the main focus it seems.

The hashtag thing I like. I like it alot. Tbh, it's kind of perked me back up. I was feeling friggin' tired. Tired of fighting for every little thing BW and ME. Why does it always have to be a struggle with them?

I mean, and really, there seems to be a serious derth of Triple A space sci-fi SP genre games. I have not found another ME type game. Rumor has it Bethesda is jumping into the ring with some space sci-fi SP title called "Starfield". But that's just a rumor, and who knows how they'll execute even if they do take on the genre.

I would be totally happy with just the Quarian story DLC, the rest (if need be) can be saved for later games.

It would bring everything around to a nice finish, all the arks accounted for, and most of the favorite species from MET now in the new galaxy. Waiting 5 years for the next ME wouldn't be as painful as just leaving it on its current note.

Then after you save the quarian ark the game has you defend against the primus counter attack on Meridian you kick the primus ass so hard the kett give up (even though there would be stragglers after the end game because what else will you shoot?) and ryders mother wakes up as a post credits scene reveals the jardaan coming back to andromeda.

The end. Check please Bioware.

....and oh yeah Reyes and the benefactor are in there somewhere too.

It was a whole scene in the game during the epilogue. Frankly, I am certain they are working on it because if they had not already begun it, why on earth would they have that in there? Makes no sense and would just piss off fans. My thoughts are that while they were tweaking stuff before release and they had too many people with not enough for them to work at, people started working on the quarian DLC.

I'm far more concerned about the future of ME as a franchise. I'd much rather EA said 'you know what guys? We'll bring in the last arc, solve Jian's murder and reveal the benefactor in the next game. Until then we're shelving any DLC in favour of giving 100% to MEA2.'

Better that than 'here's your DLC. ME is now on indefinite hiatus.' Which is what is worrying me right now.

I'm not worried, even the strangely negative original Kotaku article admitted that it wasn't likely Bioware/EA were going to cancel the Mass Effect series and it quoted a very positive EA statement they made to their shareholders about both Bioware and Mass Effect.

That doesn’t mean there will never be another Mass Effect game, of course. It’s unlikely that BioWare will kill the popular sci-fi franchise.

Earlier this week on an earnings call, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson told investors that the publisher is “very happy with how BioWare is doing, how BioWare is treating Mass Effect. And our expectations for Mass Effect are still strong for the future and the franchise overall.”

Thanks for your post. Can't speak to the article or the author as I have read neither.

I do wonder why MEA had such negative press and only had a 71 or so metacritic score. I get the graphic issue - but that was fixed almost immediately. The game is solid and fun! I did not experience one bug or glitch. I agree that the facial graphic issue was serious and the game release likely should have been delayed. It seemed to me aside from that most of the criticism was that MEA wasn't ME1,2 or 3. Despite the criticism deserved or otherwise, the game is fixed now and is being enjoyed by millions no doubt. IMO Bioware and EA will lose more fans y NOT producing at least one DLC (heck they did two for DA2). I get that future games may be on hold for Anthem and DA4 but i really look forward to MEA2.
