Listen, we need to press on Bioware even harder. If the people who dislike ME: A managed to convince Bioware/EA that single DLC is not worth it (and I'm doubtful that they did convince them) then we must come out and push back against that notion!

If I may? Let's not press Bioware. The connotation is that we are making demands and that comes across as negative. Instead, let's continue to encourage and tell the devs how much we enjoy the game and that we would like more of it.

And you are assuming that if there isnt DLC then it is 100% due to internet backlash and not other factors like review scores and 1st week sales which were lower than ME3.

I was watching a podcast earlier today and Biofan (I think it was) asked one of the developers or at least someone who works for Bioware if they were working on a DLC. They said that they weren't allowed to say anything right now. The possibility is still there.

Dead Space 3 was considered terrible by fans and critics yet it got a DLC. I find it really hard to believe that ME: A which sold more and got a better reception than Dead Space 3 won't get single player DLC.

ME1 didnt have a bad reception or low review scores. In fact, ME1 was considered to be somewhat revolutionary and pushing the industry forward.

ME2 while receiving flack for being too streamlined, sold more than ME1 and again got great review scores.

Finally, neither of those games needed a slew of patches just to make the game seem somewhat decent. And I believe ME1 was praised for its animations.

Not sure what you were trying to prove with that comment.

Oh, and it was confirmed before the release of both games that there will be post launch story content. So DLC was kinda expected.

The reason they have yet to say anything is so the game continues to sell. It's not because someone somewhere is making DLC and they're waiting for the right moment. If they confirm the reports that no DLC is planned now, it will harm the game's already-lackluster sales.

On the other side if they wait to much to confirm that no DLC are being made (hope not) it will damage Bioware's reputation and you can be sure several gaming "journalist" sites like Kotaku will swarm to make clickbait articles from the story.

You're looking for Flak. It's a word actually rooted in WWII, with Flugabwehrkanonen (Anti-air cannons, literally). And it means strong criticism and opposition. That kind of makes sense, I guess, with Flak being at one time feared more than the Luftwaffles (typo intentional).

It is interesting how you'd use the term, actually. Flak is rooted in an extreme opposition, which certainly was not the case.

And if you want to say the same about Andromeda, well... *points at Cab Ranks during Operation Market-Garden engaging FlAK emplacements with little consequence*
