I'm really deep into some sort of limbo here. On one hand, I hope to God for ME:A DLC and would be ecstatic just to get confirmation of it let alone the actual DLC. On the other, I can't shake the feeling that all of the news reports, leaks, and anonymous sources have some truth too them and no SP DLC is coming, just MP. Guess I will watch this thread for the latest info with bated breath. Also, I'm quite out of the loop these days, so what is the latest in this whole conundrum? For me, everything leans in the direction of bad news with all the developments. However, since they haven't denied yet and history hasn't proven me wrong yet... we've got DLC coming and it's taking longer because we're too close to 1.09 and Maker knows this DLC has to be polished. Everything going forward has to be polished if they want to regain that preorder trust beyond the fanboys, the junkies and the casuals. I see a lot of fans wanting to embrace BioWare again, but they stare at the EA logo and say, "... merde." BioWare is more than a game studio. It's a golden goose that produces art, music, ambiance, action, story telling, narrating and customization. They have a winning number of hits (including Andromeda 1.09) and a quite a few spectacular misses (Mass Effect 3's last 20 minutes. Call me crazy, but Shepard deserves a do-over due to some technicalities that can be best fixed on Frostbite one day.) However, no one is perfect and don't tell me those IPs aren't worth a small nation's GDP. So... with all that considered... we're getting DLC. No tin foil cap required on this one.

It is getting discouraging. I still dont understand why they wouldn't produce one or two dlcs. It does such a disservice to those of us who enjoyed yhe game and want to see more. You would think that Bioware would want to generate some goodwill so unless they believe by hey would lose money I don't get it.

While I'm preparing myself for the worst case scenario, I am still hopeful that we will get DLC. After all we are still well within the timeframe of when they usually release the first big story DLC. To use Mass Effect 3 as an example, it came out early March yet didn't get its first DLC until the end of August. Mass Effect: Andromeda came out late March, so we would have to have nothing by mid-September before the wait has been longer. Granted ME3 had its DLC delayed for the Extended Cut to be made, but one could argue the extensive patches made for MEA are the equivalent of that.

Yeah, I realize now everyone (including us) are just over-reacting on the lack of DLC news.
It's still too early for Bioware to announce any DLC for Andromeda. If by the end of September or N7 day there still isn't any news, then it's practically guaranteed there's no more future content coming out.

For those who are wondering why they don't tell us if they are not doing dlc, it's because of MP. If they were to say that DLC was not happening then MP would take a massive hit in numbers as people would inevitably view the game as finished, even if the MP cycle isn't, and move on to new pastures. They won't reveal that there is no SP DLC until the MP schedule is complete.

Just in general, why would anyone announce that the game basically is dead?
This usually happens for games with a "final" DLC, and then as the dust settles, they hit the doubters/casual adopters with a GOTY edition.
I want the story to continue as much as the next fan -I love the ending and the (ironic) sense of activism and optimism it created- but waiting for "clarification" is just not healthy.

I don't recall any kind BioWare game with this level of uncertainty-this far after launch. Instead, where in this "when we can, we will" stage. I'd like to think will get one 'giant' expansion as a result, but I dunno

I don't get why people are saying 'they should tell us if there is no DLC'.... can anyone actually point to a situation where this makes sense? Or has even happened before, for a game with no prior DLC?

If no mans sky can add 30 hours of SP in a patch why not ME: A? Because the studio has split up and spliced with another studio. There's only a skeleton crew left from the Andromeda team now who are adding bits and pieces for MP. For single player dlc EA would have to give the go-ahead to re-hire voice actors, animators for the story cinematic cutscenes and acquire some writers. And whether they'd make that decision or not, boils down to if they think there are enough fans out there who'd buy the dlc and make it profitable.

Not like Bioware is comprised of only one studio and there is also no obligation that DLC need to be made by the same studio. Anyway, color me impressed by what they are trying to do with No Man's Sky.

I am copping by playing MP. I still have my third PT on hold hoping to play it with a DLC. Worst case scenario is that I'll play it w/o eventually, but I will then start from ME1, I think, a full run from Shepard to Ryder & I will buy ME2/3 DLCs instead. MP support is done I think in the end of September (iirc it was 6 months), so it will be a good point for me to decide how to get my ME fix. I know MP is not for everyone, but I really enjoy how it is atm.

I'm sorry, guys. I am thinking about trading MEA. I was holding out. I am full support..but, I've got two new games coming soon I get 10 dollars off each for my Pro account and I can trade MEA in to basically get one free and alittle off the other.
I will hold out though...

Play afew games, opening packs of stuff I don't want/will not use. Lol. I don't even use the new equipment. I'm holding out for a class I might fall in love with that could possibly use it. I use the Turian Soldier with Cyclone Bulwark, stick with the group, Fortify with Turbocharge, Mow down enemies as a team, Fortify shock when bullrushed and we mop them up. It's pretty satisfying especially with a elemental ammo and rail (extra damage and set my teammates up for combos and a AR rail to boost depending on modifiers). It's nice but when you hit level 20, I really don't feel the need to level others anymore so I feel kinda stagnant. I guess that's all my fault but I have about 10 to Lvl 20 though. Also, I want to improve him further but the RNG drops aren't in my favor. The MP isn't bad but there's no overarching goal besides the grind like many games. I'm not complaining I guess. It keeps me around.

It keeps me around. For a bit I was annoyed by how many things there are on the manifest, but I ended up looking at those "bonus stats" characters, and ended up identifying a character I wanted to play for each of these five bonuses, and just sticking to playing with those ones. I really love my Five, they all have their names, and I love what they say, how they look etc. I don't even look at the loot tables above uncommon for guns, b/c I am not going to play with tem for a while. I save Mission funds for unlocking the rare characters, b/c I really want to rank up BS Crapper and Architect. I really *love* the new 4 maps... Overall, I am pretty comfy and content with what I have & what I can do.

Doing the math MEA has until September 12th before it has been more time between the release of the game and the first DLC than ME3 had.

Good thing that by then XCom 2 War of the Choosen will be released already. If nothing happens here at least i can play that game all over again. And there is also the wait for episode 2 of Batman Enemy Within.
