In all the talk about how sometimes the Tasks are just an annoyance, I'm on my third playthrough now and have realized that I'm not as good about ignoring some of them as others. Which do you do either because they're fun or seem important to the story?
I haven't yet ignored Path of a Hero, Beer Run, Traitor or Victim, or What He Would Have Wanted. I've avoided even agreeing to find rock and plants samples this pt, because sometimes I just can't be bothered. One I'd like to finish is Naming the Dead, but I haven't managed to find all the bodies yet.

I'm sure there is a guide somewhere as to where to find the bodies, but I've been too lazy to look it up. I think I've completed all of the others at least once, but I'm getting better and better at ignoring the task list.

I will never do multi-planet fetch quests. I also avoid fetch quests where the location is not clearly marked (picking up remnant pieces on Havarl). I also avoid the fetch quests that are extremely pointless like tagging Turian debris on Harvarl. Also tasks that dont offer an outcome I can live with. Like Vetra's loyalty quest, and the whole Dr. Kennedy thing. Tasks that I do invest my time in every playthrough: 1. Naming the Dead 2. Site 2 Project 3. Ghost of Promise 4. Kett Listening Devices on Eos 5. Kett devices in the remnant sites on Eos and Voeld 6. Kett Shuttle control center on Voeld 7. Kett tag and release operation on Voeld 8. Angaran surveillance technician's body on Voeld 9. Medical Supplies mission on Voeld and Elaadan 10. Heskarl Trials on Voeld 11. Angaran ancient map quest 12. Saving the Angaran whales (forgot their in game name) 13. Firefighters 14. Contagion (I hate this quest with a passion but they make you feel like its very important) 15. Three Sabers - also any quest that allows you to embarrass Addison (one of my main goals in every playthrough) 16. The remnant tiller in Remav system. 17. Turian and Asari arks

Somehow I managed to find all the Remnant pieces on my first playthrough, but have yet to find them again. :/ I like Contagion, but I don't like that you have to travel through four systems to find her. The Firefighters has become one of my favorite side missions. the first time I did it I didn't cure Alain and also shot Knight, so he was angry, but the multiple outcomes of it are interesting.

Broken Family - for some reason hearing the asari talk to her mom makes me cry every time Messages to the Nexus - that one message that's like "I think you fled something terrible. I think it followed you here" gives me chills every time Broken Family has that nice effect. On my second playthrough, I was ready to just do the story bits and ignore Kadara, doing the bare minimum. Then I bumped into that building again, fixed it, and thought "The Pathfinder is fighting for THESE people. Let's do it, for THEM." - I literally finished the planet arc and Vault because of those people who picked the wrong side just to have some food. Messages to the Nexus... probably give you chills because you know that message is right. But Ryder doesn't... not until much later... The ones that have quest markers on them. Definitely.

Beer run really annoys me (lets put this guy as far away as we can after you have already done Kadara and make it as hard as possible to get to him) but I can't help but do it and this time through the damn thing completed but is still in my journal. Naming the dead bugs out a lot, you may have completed it and it just didn't clear. I found this the easiest one to use: www.vg247.com/2017/05/07/mass-effect-andromeda-naming-the-dead-guide-maps-screenshots/

I have found on Kadara like Voeld if I don't stop and fight everything it is much less stressful and much faster as you don't pick up lots of the annoying quests.

What I have found is I am much better at waiting/planning to do some of these quests till I have multiple things to do in a place whereas first time through I was bouncing around planets like a pinball. I feel super old-school doing it this way, but my second playthrough (and the first one where I wasn't stressed out trying to figure out how to pace myself through the game) I started writing down every mission on that planet. Tasks are their own thing, and sometimes things are in the Nexus or Tempest folder, but whatever step you're in actually needs to be done on Voeld or Elaaden or wherever, so writing them down helps, and makes me feel like I have less to do. I kind of like my game journal.

What I have found is I am much better at waiting/planning to do some of these quests till I have multiple things to do in a place whereas first time through I was bouncing around planets like a pinball. I don't disagree, I make sure there is a robust to do list on each planet before going. It also helps that this is my 5th playthrough and I know all the dialog by heart, so i have the volume down and I am watching something in another monitor (I do a 4 monitor setup) - so all those load animations in travel and switching zones do not bother me nearly as much. I also use the hypermobility mod which cuts down on annoyances and time sinks. But ultimately in the end I do what I feel is important. And maybe apply some of the (What would Alec do?) philosophy. If I am terraforming worlds and setting up outposts, the scientists can survey their own damn rocks and plants. Those turians can pick up their own debris (or leave it behind) after I saved them. I really don't see a true pathfinder performing these tasks. I do always do "what he would have wanted" because I figure the researcher already tried and gave his life to the task, so I can carry the torch. The quest also takes you to some key points on the map with Kett/Remnant encounters that can yield data towards "Ghost of Promise" and the "watchers". I applied the same philosphy towards TW3. I would happily do a task or mission that involves Witcher's work, but ignore those that do not. So I might help Philippa kill Radovid, but I am not helping Dandelion set up his nightclub or help that dwarf (forgot his name) complete his card deck. So in MEA I will do Pathfinder work, but not what I consider to be menial or silly. For Vetra and Addison loyalty quest there is no outcome I find satisfactory, so rather than be angry I just ignore them.

I understand the difficulty with Naming the Dead, but the vg247 guide is really good. There are 7 bodies: 1 at Promise, 3 at Resilience and 1 at each Monolith. The body with the datapad on the ridge overlooking Podromos does NOT count towards the 7. Like someone mentioned, this unlocks Doesn't Add up which is a very satisfying quest.

1. Body near Clancy's shuttle at Site 1 (human) 2. Body outside of Site 2 (human) 3. Body near the Kett equipment at site 2 (Turian) 4. Body near the Fiend encounter (Asari) 5. Body near the Platinum ore where you meet PeeBee (human) 6. Body at the 2nd Monolith (3 humans, can scan 1 only) 7. Body at the 3rd Monolith (human inside the area where you meet Drack) If I may further clarify: 1. Your back should be to the huge ring they use to purify water, looking towards Clancy's Shuttle. It will be on the ground just left of the building in view. 2. This one is in the gulley right at the entrance 3. This one is by the Portable Kett shields, where Ryder says they didn't bother to take it with them 4. Rear of the main building (the one with the fiend and site 2 project). Up the rear stairs and on a platform
