Guerrilla @guerrillaWe discovered that Patch 1.10 for Horizon Zero Dawn for PC introduced a new issue with vegetation where grass patches could disappear entirely on certain AMD GPUs. Hotfix 1.10 addresses this issue and is now available on all platforms. I tried to kill one of those Tallnecks in one of my PT's once but wasn't able to. I tried it with all my different types of arrows and then i tried it with the Thunderjaw disc cannon and the Ravager cannon ( coolest weapon in the game ) and finally one of those bandit cannons. But he just kept on walking his rounds. Yea mus tadmi tthe ylook really cool I did hack oneof them (th devils thirst one which I think was one of the low level ones) but didn't try hacking them all but I think I'll try next time going t obe an interestin gchallenge trying t oclimb them but the 2 I did find in m ytravels seem to walk by a ledge that's at least high enough to at least jump on it's back which I think is alll I need really as once I can get on it's back it should be doable to climb to it's head from there. I just need to make sure I don' t get ambushed by any other machines that may be in the area when I take them on.

All the tallnecks have an area nearby where you can jump onto them and climb up; cliff or building. I find it really sad to find ones that are dead, there are a few dotted around. They should be gracefully plodding around in their circles, not destroyed with all their lost information Again, the sound design is wonderful of that slow badom, badom that you can hear for miles. And the first time you climb one and see the whole area is amazing. I tried to kill the first one you meet in the city ruins, but all I got was to be squished by his big hoofy feet

I know I wouldn't like to be poked in the head either." Not sure if that's scripted for the first one or if it is just one of a few random things she can say when accessing one but it immediately instilled a sense of comradery to the big fellas which never quite faded for me. So repairing the one in the DLC was really cool.

Yeah that' son ething I like about Aloy in that she does throw out a few random comments out there .Like when she's in the Frozen wilds she goes something like. "Everything's freezing the air, the ground, ME." Also when it gets windy too when sh esays something like "that'squiet the breeze" or something. The ydid a goo djob in programming that all into the game. Made the gam efeel reall yrea lin some places.

Yeah it made her feel more like a real person. I like it when my characters react more to the world around them in m games. I think that's part of the reason why I lik ethe TR reboots as well as Lara does this more which is something she never did in previous games too which like with Aloy gave her moer personality. I hope more protags are made in this way as it definitely helps make the game world feel more lived in.

So I finished...that final Deathbringer is a real prick I should've spaced out the side content more evenly with the story content, I think. By the end, I was a bit over the gameplay (while still loving the plot/story). The revelations over What Went Wrong were handled very well and the snowball effect of them getting more and more depressing/horrifying was great. It isn't enough to make me interested in owning a console for my own use, but it comes closer than any game has (closer than I thought any game could). Aloy is brilliant - easily a top 5 game protagonist. The side characters were excellent and the world superbly realised. 9/10.

Because I think I' denjoy spending more time in Aloy's world. I just don' twant to do it via a controloe rbecauseI don' t think I could manage it.

Yeah I did the same thing and spent way too much time in the starting area and then doing nearly all the side quests and clearing the map before getting to the main story. That said as you pointed out it was quite good getting the avalanche of story pretty much all in a row and I didn't mind it because the main story itself was IIRC a bit short. I also considered the console purchase but I have trouble with the controller due to a thumb injury. So I'll just have to wait. Are you going to play the DLC? The DLC is harder but I really enjoyed it, the NPC's are great and the story is really good IMO.

Yea hyo ucan get easil yoverwhelmed if yo udont hi taccuratel yand hard when you get you rchance sin thi game an dthat's something I can' treall ydo on a conrtoller because it definitely works best if you hi tthe machimes where they'er most vulnerable and ideally before they have a bead on yo utoo. But yea hI think we'll both hav to wai tand see i fForbidden wes tdoes eventuall ycom eto PC as well. I will as ythou ghtha tfor a first go a tan action RPG Guerilla did an amazin job it' s a game that I thin keven the big guns lik eBioware or CDPR would have been proud to make.. It doesn't maybe hav ethe same replay value as say something like a Dragon Age o rMass Effect though I do think it'll worth revisiting from time to time but if you're looking for a good Tomb Raider type gam ethat requires a more thinking approach than a QTE button mashing one you can't go wrong with HZD.

If/when I come back to it, I’ll make sure to do TFW when Aloy is at level.

I am interested, but will probably wait a bit longer to allow further patching etc. Probably for the better, having finsihed the game ages ago the wait for something new to do is painful and there is not even anything like The Arena and Conquest Battles to do like in Valahalla to pass the time. Also get your family to buy you a bigger drive, that's what I did for Xmas, got a 1,000 GB SSD wasn't that expensive either and cloned my old drive.

Frozen Wilds is extremely relavant to the main story. Just saying... Yeah especiall ya syou learn a lot about Sylens through it. Bleh Sylens i really truly hate that guy he's one of the worst villains of all he pretends to be your friend because he wants something that only you ( Aloy ) can get. He helps you ( but did he really Aloy does most of the work anyway ) also because he does not want to loose you because he obviously has his own agenda ( and there's nothing good about that agenda ). And then afterwards he stabs you in the back. I rather have Helis at least you know that he's a bad guy.

Are going to play Valhalla? I’m....not sure. I am interested, but will probably wait a bit longer to allow further patching etc. Yeah, I kinda regret getting so early into CP2077 now. I'm kinda through with the game but I feel the game got worse every patch. It was best shortly after launch, lol. 3 months is a good time I guess. And don't buy games that release on or shortly before XMAS holiday.

I'm kinda through with the game but I feel the game got worse every patch. It was best shortly after launch, lol. 3 months is a good time I guess. And don't buy games that release on or shortly before XMAS holiday. Even if my internal alarms bells hadn't been ringing themselves to death with CP2077 due to all the delays, PC only reviews plus no interest in setting or FPP, I wouldn't have picked it up before next month (or even April) anyway. Other than Dragon Age, I've bought two games - that I can recall - at, or just after (less than a month) launch. Pillars 1 and TW3. While my experiences with both games was better than the majority I saw recounting online at the time, they are not experiences I care to repeat. I'll buy the next DA quickly, but that is a heart decision, not a head one (and I'm fully aware of it, so can manage any disappointment I might feel)
