Some speculation on the MP release cycle and how there's still time for SP DLC to be announced

To start, I'd like to say that part of my ideal expectations for the MP content release have been 'on-track' or in order rather.

At the start of MP we had slots for 6 classes in each rarity tier, one of each archetype.. the standard Soldier, Adept, Sent, etc. This is a bit more loose in the Ultra Rare category, but it still fits. It was known that some of the classes were cut before release, so 2 rare and 2 UR character slots were empty. These were filled and released one by one as new content, but still largely based on the existing assets of the base game, ie. not entirely 'new' content asset-wise.

This previous 'DLC' completed the original format of 6 classes per tier, so if what we got next was more standard Andromeda races, the outlook would not have been very good. Instead we have a fresh Batarian incoming. Looking back to ME3, most DLC packs included 6 characters, one for each archetype. Starting with the Batarian, if we're to also expect 6 characters for this DLC 'cycle', there's still plenty of time before we reach the last two characters (Quarians?). Given that male Quarians filled the role as a separate 'race' release in 3MP, it's possible that Quarians could fill 3 or 4 out of 6 slots, and we'll see them (and SP DLC) sooner rather than later.


Current race balance in MEA:
Human - 13 total (6 male/ 7 female)
Turian - 3 total (2 male/ 1 female)
Salarian - 3 total (3 male)
Krogan - 4 total (2 male/ 2 female)
Asari - 4 total
Angaran - 3 total (2 male/ 1 female)

Other MP thoughts:
In the current character selection page, there's enough space to fit 2 more uncommon, 2 rare, and 2 UR, before the page gets 'filled'. This may or may not have any bearing on if any future characters are classified as uncommon.

It's possible we might see another female Turian and Angaran, a Salarian, and a unique male Human at some point if they want to keep including them in future content and balancing male/female ratio per race.
