Eh, I'm just trying to entertain the people who have nothing better to do than post on a board for something they supposedly hate. How am I doing?

Sometimes rumors are right. Sometimes they're wrong. Only time will tell.
Jason has a respectable track record when it comes to things like this, but he's been wrong before as well. My advice (not that anyone will take it) would be to keep on hoping, but don't assume anything one way or the other until we hear official word from BW.

1) There will never be an official word from EA or Bioware. Why? Well, because you said it already.....hope. If people continue to have hope that MEA has a future, then they will continue to play MP and wait it out in the hopes that a SP DLC will come. During this time, Bioware can create MP content that really cost nothing to develop and make money off of micro transactions. The moment Bioware/EA confirms that no future SP content is coming to MEA, that could cause a lot of players to on a dime just stop playing MEA MP. 2) Whether people want to admit it or not, a lot of people here and on reddit ARE fearful that no SP DLC is coming. Yeah, a lot of people will put on their confident mask and act like it is a foregone conclusion that SP DLC is coming, but that isnt the case. I mean, a lot of people here live by the idea that MEA was a financial success, EA is happy with it, and that Bioware keeps pumping out patches/MP contents + the novels/comings are still coming. So people cling to this as some sort of proof that SP DLC is coming and are confident about that. However, if people are so confident, then explain the #SaveTheQuarians "movement"? The whole idea because #SaveTheQuarians is to show EA/Bioware that there is still huge support for the game. However, if people are so confident and sure that SP DLC is coming, and if people are so stuck in the idea that MEA was a financial success and something that EA will want to continue......then why the need for #SaveTheQuarians? Why the need for online petitions? These actions are not representative of a group of people who are confident about SP DLC coming, but rather actions of people who may believe SP DLC is coming, but somewhere in the back of their mind, they also understand that there is a possibility that MEA is indeed "put on ice" in terms of SP content. So in order to counter against that, they start these twitter movements and petitions to "show their support" in order to sway Bioware to not be influences by trolls who had an "agenda" to take down Mass Effect but instead be swayed by their loyal fanbase. You gotta give it to them, they are a persistent bunch of lads, but their actions as of late is less representative of people who are confident about SP DLC coming but instead are very worried about the possibility that MEA will be the first Bioware game since Origins to no receive any post launch SP content.

What gets me is why you feel it is your personal duty to snuff all hope out of everyone else. What is it that YOU are HOPING to accomplish and when are you going to give up hope that you're going to ever accomplish whatever that is? Also, what problem is it for you that other people have hope for something?

Origins did have post launch SP content,
If they do continually release MP content for the game, it couldn't have been put in ice much, right?

It is ridiculous to have people not only dislike the game, but feel it's their duty to come over to fan boards to belittle them.

The problem is it matters not one iota if he was ever right or not...or whether he ever exhibited professional ethics. That was never the point. The point was whatever or not he has exhibited professional ethics towards MEA.

What is it that YOU are HOPING to accomplish and when are you going to give up hope that you're going to ever accomplish whatever that is? Also, what problem is it for you that other people have hope for something? Well, I just like to present the other side of the story so to speak. I mean, I have came to peace with the idea that this place is an echochamber for ideas that are optimistic about MEA and it's future. I am not trying to change people's minds cause I understand that it is impossible to do that. But what I try to do is just let out the other side of the story which I know isn't that popular here, but does that mean that I can't post it? If I goto a Seattle Seahawks home game, I understand that they have the best homefield advantage in the NFL and that 98% or so of the fans in attendance or Seahawks fans, but does that mean that I cannot attend the game and cheer for the other team? Also for my apparent disdain for MEA, well that is something for another thread of itself but to keep it short, I'll just redirect you to here in which I explain why I didn't like MEA. Personally, I think Bioware in a lot of ways is just out of touch and it shows. Either they are out of touch or either other developers are just doing it better (in my opinion). I admit, the Witcher 3 effect may have some sort of reason behind my dislike of MEA (and DAI). Games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Witcher 3 are games that are not afraid to offend. They tackle issues and present them in a mature way for a mature audience. Without going into details, Deus Ex: Human Revoluation/Mankind Divided does this with the whole augmentation controversy and Witcher 3 does it with all the political stuff and the horrors of war. Those two games treat the player like adults who can understand the subject matter presented in the game whereas Bioware takes the "Disney style" approach and take something that could be mature, but dumb it down in order to simplify things.

And to be honest I'm sick and tired of bioware being accused of doing "Disney" stuff. Why? Because they don't show breasts or display a world full rape and murder? Because they add LGBT characters? DAI handled the subject of religion with maturity and excellent writing. Much better than the Witchers one dimensional, cartoonishly evil take on it. Just because the world is full of darkness, doesn't mean it's not mature.

I'm speculating this will be most everyone's answer on these forums if they're going to buy Jason Schreier's book in September... Someone actually let that guy publish a book? What is it, screen-caps of forums and him pleading "No, seriously guys,I know stuff! Please listen to me and buy my book?!" I'd rather read Twilight.Aw hell no.
