Found this vid that includes some changes to the animation. It would be nice if BioWare took the liberty to release a few comparison videos. FYI, YongYea is an anti-BioWare troll. He made a video claiming that the game's graphics had been downgraded from the pre-launch trailers...by comparing those to footage taken from the PC version with the lowest graphics settings. So don't trust anything that comes from that pandering hack's channel. It's the only comparison footage I've found so far.

I've not seen this mentioned and it's probably a console-only thing but it seems they've fixed one of my biggest peeves in the game. It used to be that once your inventory/journal/codex etc. grew beyond the size of the page you could never find the stuff that was flagged as unread because just scrolling over it removed the unread symbol before you even get a chance to notice it. Now the unread symbol only disappears after you stay on the entry for a few seconds making it much easier to find the new stuff. They've also added a way to mark everything as read without having to scroll past it which is also really useful for things like salvage or completed quests that you don't care about. It's only a little thing but it's going to make things much easier to keep track of

So, yesterday, I was playing the Hwarl Vault with patch 1.09 and I noticed that I could save my game inside the vault (just before hitting the "press button and things start to kill you" console, I could do a manual save. Now, the Hawarl vault is super samll (just 2 rooms) and I can't remember from my previous playthrough if it was possible to save there before. I also didn't get to play any other mission yet. So here is my question: Has anyone played a main mission with 1.09 yet and tried to make a manual save? Did they fix this without telling anyone? Or is the Hawarl Vault just the only remnant vault where you are allowed to save anyway? So after going through the Moshae's rescue I didn't see any save points. I checked the menu three times in the mission and nada. Doesn't mean there isn't one, necessarily, just that there wasn't the three times I checked the menu.

No, there's definitely a delay now before the "new" marker goes away. Used to be just scrolling over it even at top speed would remove it. Now I have to hold the mouse there for a second or two before they go away.
I haven't noticed any new "mark all as read" options though. The only one I've seen is the one that magically shows up late game for the codex, and then doesn't even work right since "The Scourge" codex is bugged after Meridian.

Well, I guess it would have been too much to hope for them to do it when it's not in the patch notes. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I have mixed feelings on it too. Would rather have the neverending "!"s taken care of first.
I did find the "mark all as seen" button for inventory. I like that one!

There's a button in inventory for that now? Now that makes me happy. Almost as happy as when I noticed there was a "receive all" in the Strike Teams menu for rewards.

Yeah I noticed that. You can't just roll past it anymore. Scratching my head to why they changed that. Because the whole point of flagging something as unread is so that you can see what new things have happened. So you can see immediately what new items or augments you've picked up or what Codex or Journal entries have changed. The way it was, if the new item wasn't on the first page (or was the first item on the page), you would never be able to see that it was new because just scrolling the list would remove the icon instantly before you could even spot it was there. Rather defeating the object of having an icon in the first place!

Yeah, the behaviour of the '!' is another pet peeve. Sometimes it's flagged at the top level of a menu but not at lower levels so it becomes a real hunt to find what is causing it and sometimes you can't find anything that's causing it and can't get rid of it. Still, at least they're making some improvements to the system. I'd also love them to fix the dialogue trees. I know they tried by graying out dialogue that apparently has nothing extra to say but it's not very reliable. Often it's not grayed out and still repeats and I'm not convinced there aren't some new things in the grayed out ones. I don't know why they needed the sticky dialgoue trees anyway. Why not just have new trees every time you speak to people like in the trilogy. What's the point of keeping dialogue options open for things they've already said?

Is this it for patches? Where does Bioware get its info on patching needs and requests?
I have tried posts at reddit and twitter - although admittedly I don't really know how to use those resources well. I have also tried email. There had been a poster who received some acknowledgement from a Bioware source that font size was an issue and that they MAY patch that at some point - just want to keep that possibility alive and don't know how best to do it. I feel like I miss 3/4 of the game by not reading stuff (hurts my eyes) and it makes me sad .... :sob:
