Yeah I got the concussive cyclone II yesterday (from basic packs, nonetheless) and still haven't maxed out my standard uncommon weapons. Like half are, but the rest are 7 or 8.

My experience is a bit different, of the 10 million i had saved and spent yesterday, Weapons (non-variant) = Piranha IX, Dhan IX, Black Widow X, Hurricane VII Weapons (Variant) = Naladen(S) I, Soned(S) I, Valkyrie(  I, Soned( I, Soned(C) I, Rozerad(S) I I have 8 UR weapons left under X, needing 40 cards to get all them to X, including the Kishock which i do not have. Most likely just bad luck on my part, but it sure was not slanted to fill out the URs that were not X yet. Would you taking and sharing pics of your manifest as proof of a relatively high number of variants, with missing non-variants? Will try and do that after work. So basically complaints are about amount of hours that collectionists will have to spend to satisfy their sick grinding mania. Lol. Like someone cares or should care. No. I have (had) no desire to grind out and complete the manifest. But I did want to unlock everything, just so I can try everything at least once. I'm apex 19000 and I still didn't have Duelist, despite having Gladiator X and a couple other UR classes near X. This means that I was closing in on Duelist I, since those cards were out of the loot pool. Now, with 1.09, congrats! Looks like X classes are back on the menu, boys! Now my chances of Duelist I are even fucking less. I'm in the same boat. I'm apex 20k and still don't have the Black Widow and the Soned. Now I'm afraid to buy 100k packs because of these deluded lower level weapons and there are lots of them. So options for players like us are either start from the beginning and grind another 20k apex to get where I was two days ago; or give up the hope to ever max out our manifests. It's sad really. |

So if you're someone like me who haven't max out a single UR yet but has all rares max out, it's extremely unlikely to get variants of UR weapons because that will take a ridiculously amount of time grinding (first you have to max the non-variant weapons in order to get variants).
From what I see the new rare variant weapons are better than the old UR non-variant weapons. So for me it makes sense to quit UR entirely and just focus on getting the rares, if I wanna survive platinum.
So that's it for me, no more premium/ arsenal/ reserves packs. Expert FTW

I feel like we're all overlooking the worst thing here, which is how incredibly ugly these reskins are. Why do I have to run around with a cartoon looking, unicorn puke, shiny, bright purple gun just to get the benefit of concussive? It ruins the aesthetic of the entire game.

What, everybody crying over too much attention? It was just yesterday that all I heard was we need more content; maps, characters, weapons, etc.. We just got a helluva lot of stuff, and now the whine-fest over how long it will take to get it all? Sheesh. Reskins of existing items are not new content. The only new content added in the patch was the Batarian, the Kishock, a handful of permanent gear items, and Platinum. And that's not enough? Or was it the delivery method? Or both? BLUF: It's new content, it was delivered. It could always be better, but the alternative is worse. |

Platinum = good Batarian = good Kishock = hopefully good but haven't unlocked it That along with the weapon and power balance changes would have made for a much better update than we were given. Veteran bonuses = good in theory, bad execution Weapon variants = okay in theory, abysmal execution Upload change = better, still not perfect imo Hack change = bad Boss objective = mediocre Devices change = neutral Basically what has transpired is that Bioware has given us a poison apple in the form of 1.09. They lumped some genuinely interesting, new content in with a colossal amount of empty filler and some questionable redesigns of objectives that bring the overall opinion of the patch down quite a few notches in my eyes, and apparently the eyes of a lot of other people. |

Wow, just wow. Maybe you guys knew this, but I sure didn't. Apparently, each gun has all 3 modifiers. I just found out an hour ago. So, they've quadrupled the number of guns. Sneaky move, Bioware, sneaky. Draw me back into playing with platinum then spring out and say, "gotch u bitch". At least, these modifiers work pretty well. I finally got a siphon gun worth getting, the Shadow Siphon. It's pretty amazing. Restores your health as you kill. I just finished a few of platinum games with it. I think in one game, I didn't have to use any medigel or ops survival packs.

As af lapsed player, I can say that this pretty much confirms that I just need to uninstall the game rather than pick it back up.
I don't have anything maxed except my commons. Uncommons were very, very close. Rares were decently done. Had plenty of URs that weren't even unlocked yet.
And now this just looks like a clusterfuck of a mess of lazy, easy content to keep the drop farm going for people who have already completed it, but is just going to annoy the shit out of me if I were to pick this back up. The odds o me even seeing some of the new characters or weapons released since I quit playing is shite, and the actual new stuff is the biggest reason I'd want to start playing again.

Meanwhile I'm sitting over here lamenting how getting my uncommon characters to XX is going to make it take much longer to max my uncommon weapons.
All I really wanted was Phalanx and Carnifex for pistol mastery. Now Phalanx is stuck at VIII.

This was the dumbest addition to a game ever. How someone actually considered and then proposed this and their heads signed off on it instead of firing them is beyond me.

They certainly should drop down the chance of this modded weapons at least for rare slots. I have 3 rares maxed and now, instead of improving on my normal shadow or equalizer I'm getting some bulwark revenant and concussive thokin which I'll never use. Even if it is half a chance of modded versus normal, they have tripled that and it becomes almost equal or even higher, hard to tell exactly, depends on how it is weighted during space magic dice cast. Seems like decreasing the chance 5x or even 10x might be in order. Let me max the normal rares first.
