You asked for greater challenges, and you’re getting them. The new Platinum mode cranks up the difficulty, requiring strong teamwork and skilled play to achieve victory. Platinum players will battle tougher enemies and a mix of heavy hitters from all factions. To help you survive, we’ve added Veteran Bonus ranks that increase your available power, combo, and melee damage stats for every character. We’ve adjusted many Ultra Rare weapons so they pack a heavier punch. In particular, the Black Widow is now as deadly as the name suggests. New variants for Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra Rare weapons will also help you stay in the fight. New Bulwark weapons increase your damage resistance when teammates are nearby, while Siphon weapons replenish your health as you deal damage. And for crowd control, new Concussive weapons create a biotic explosion when an enemy is killed with a weak point shot. You’ll also have a little help from an old Milky Way friend. We've added the Batarian Scrapper, and he's bringing the dreaded Kishock Harpoon Gun with him. Based on popular feedback, enemies can now disrupt Hacks, and we’ve reduced Upload’s depletion rate when it’s not controlled by players. Assassination has been replaced with a Boss objective featuring stronger enemies that have special nameplates, more hit points, and are resistant to Cobra RPGs. You can find a full list of changes below. Multiplayer Introduced Platinum Difficulty, featuring mixed enemy factions. Added the Batarian Scrapper character (Rare). Added a Skin Tone slider to customization options for some characters. Added Veteran Bonus ranks that increase power, combo, and melee damage stats for each character. There are now two daily challenges and new types of challenges. The Item Store has a weekly rotation of two Uncommon and two Rare equipment items. I wasn't able to one-shot Destroyers in Gold by hitting the glowing weak point with a cobra. Haven't tried in other difficulties yet.
I didn't see anything in the notes about fixing the combo damage bonus on Throw rank 6, so I'm guessing that's still borked?

Does anyone know how the Veteran Bonus Tiers rank up? I thought it was 1 tier per rank, but I got my Human Female Adept to Rank 15 and she's only Tier 4. Is that max?

They definitely have not, was playing Platinum Go For The Eyes last night off-host and my gun was ONLY useful for applying ammo effects.

Maybe it's just people still getting used to 45 (38) seconds of timer per device, but I've had 3 matches today end in failure because of time running out. On bronze. The amount of time one needs to run from one device to another, assuming PUG teammates don't do anything, doesn't leave a lot of leeway, especially if device spawns on the other side of the map.

Undocumented changes:
Looks like they nerfed the Bioelectric Focus for the Angaran Exempler. It is now 35% power recharge speed instead of 50% for its 6th evolution. Why!?

Having played a few games on the new patch, things I don't like:
New hack rules - who thought "oh people hate the upload objective, you know what we need, more of that" was a good idea? Devices timer - a bit on the short side, especially with dogs knocking you off the damned thing. RNG unrelenting grind - I was so close to finishing my rare characters, now everyone goes up to 20. Objectives in general - seems like far too many are reliant on invisibility to get done. Sort out offhost headshots - 1/4 of the weapon pool is useless to 3/4 of the team.
Things I do like:
Despite the grind, I like the idea of the adapted guns, perhaps done via a weapon mod would have been a better way to implement. Batarians - not got the kit yet, but one day when I've ground out the common/uncommon characters, and weapons, I hope to play as him.

I dumped every.single.one. of my cobras into a boss objective (kett krogan thing), simultaneously detonating the fire combos and still couldn't kill the fucker. This was on gold and failed the match.
Would've helped if teammates were helping me, but I was alone and running out of time. Why are the cobras even there if they're going to be weaker than a rozerad?
