Wow, just read some of the other threads, is the new patch really that bad? OWA, the new content from the patch is fun but of course it comes attached with Bioware's stupidly implemented strings. Let me put it in a context you'll appreciate (or not appreciate  ). You're still missing the Reegar right? Because of their addition of character ranks to 20 and each weapon reapeating 3 times (concussive, bulwark, and siphon), your chances of getting the Reegar (and let alone getting it to a decent level) just decreased a few times. In perspective, I've had every rare maxed until yesterday and I haven't gotten the new Batarian character yet after 1.5 million thrown at the store. Ofc some people have had better luck but I'll be checking how much credits it will take me to get him. I am keeping score, biower. :gentleman: This isnt true. You dont get the variant weapons until the basic is maxed. |

Care to explain how the bloated rare and UR pool is a "great" thing? Stop whining. You earn credits three times as fast now. You earn credit 3 times as fast (sure buddy), and have 4 times the "content" to unlock. With something like a 25% UR drop rate, even a simpleton can see how lame that is. |

I'm not a fan of the implementation of the variants/characters either, but for how much they've added in the update and are planning on adding this month (2 more maps at minimum) I haven't been this hyped for the game in a long time. Despite ddrguy's rage, I've just run several [hours?] of platinum with him and SpaceV3gan. Let's be passionate, not doomsayers. |

We somehow pulled it off on a later game, not sure what was different though. Only the cloak characters should have been trying to load the objective. Everyone else should be drawing the aggro away. One can join the cloaking kit if they're also an infiltrator or if the main hacker has stealth grid like I was and just hop in the cloak. I mean, I think I also helped some by using stealth grid a few feet beyond the hack so that the last reference for enemies wasn't in the hack itself, but other than that, idk. I think people just need to start learning that unless they change it back, everyone camping doesn't work. It's just bull because the drawing/spread of aggro strategy is the cornerstone of upload. Again, if you want to make hack harder, make hack harder, don't make it a single upload. It's no longer hack then. If it doesn't look like a duck, sound like a duck or act like a duck, guess what? It's not a duck. |

I've been buying Arsenal packs like crazy but with no luck Damn... I didn't really start playing multiplayer a lot until after 1.06, so I was just starting to make some headway on the rare weapon front when they released the S variants of the common weapons for some god awful reason. To show you how weird the rng can be, I just recently got the Viper S to X while my poor Vanquisher was still at IV. These wouldn't have been so bad if they had been added to the pool after all other rare weapons had been maxed, but this way just flooded the pool with crap I didn't want. These recent additions make that seem like no big deal, though. Not only do weapons like the Vanquisher have to compete with weapons I have maxed, there are also all the new character cards as well  |

The odds are weighted to be lower until the respective basic is maxed, but they are in the pool and can be received regardless. |

2 Plat pugs last night, 50% success.
Hack was completed once with full team and fast time-to-kill, but it was completed with less than ten seconds on the timer. Hack did us in the second time, with aggro constantly in the circle. Trying to kite was impossible and communication didn't work.
I'd tweak the hack to make it only go down if the team is outnumbered in the circle, or reduce the rate at which it is slowed.
Also, devices need a longer timer. Seeing as enemies can spawn on it, 30 seconds is too quick and can cost a match (haven't failed this yet, but I've done 15/16 devices in pug matches yesterday.) Decidedly NOT fun.
Manifest BS doesn't matter as I never had any intention of maxing anyway.

While it was always obvious that inability to advance past Silver is going result in less gear, I think the change will result in even higher player segregation. I already see folks on Bronze (gods only know why) that are starting to push the 2x of the second guy, and it's even worse in Silver. Acute player segregation means low player pool. Because why would I play if I can't either do much in appropriate for me difficulty tier, nor have any hopes to upgrade b/c I can't advance. Basically, unless you move to G, you are stuck with playing Humans as well, because the XX levels come from boxes. And if you don't earn credits, you can't use cool kits, they will always be at level I, even if they drop. So, yeah, unless they increase monetary rewards in BR/SI, the progression is going to lockout very fast. And while you don't have to progress to have fun per se, eventually, you just become irrelevant in your own tier, if you can't handle G. Maybe be at least add something interesting in the Silver loot, so there is something to look forward to... while this problem of having to be lucky many, many times vs just once like in ME3MP to play a cool kit was already there, now it is exacerbated. By a LOT. |

Wow, just read some of the other threads, is the new patch really that bad? No. Its great. Platinum is very nice and pays a metric ton of credits to buy those packs and gets those upgrades. People are just hysterical as per usual. A "metric ton" meaning 120K? Good teams are doing Plat in about 17-19 minutes, versus let's say 12 minutes for Gold. That's a 50% increase in credits/minute. Not exactly mind blowing. But that's a good team. Bad teams are taking a half hour or more. Which means their rate for Plat could be the same, or even less than the Gold rate. I mean, I'm fine with the payout because it's only marginally longer for me than a Gold run (haven't taken over 20 minutes yet, with pugs) and you get one box per run. But don't exagerrate, it's not "a metric ton". |
