Sorry if this is dumb, but when you first start off playing (this is my 2nd walkthrough now) you get the quest to unlock all the SAM memory triggers around the world. Whenever I click on them, i get the message that i have unlocked that one, then SAM says he still needs more.. ok ok.. My question: Should there be some counter activated so you know how many you have left to unlock? Or do you actually need to find them all before something is revealed at the end? I have no counter? I ask this because a lot of my other BUGGED quests do not show counters like - The Kett Bio Samples, or Count the Bodies etc etc.. Even my stupid remnant core devices do NOT count and add up  Sad sad sad. So, is there a counter for these, or not counter? thanks! |

Edit: Updated information. not completely sure what you mean.. So after I scan the first one, there is NO progress bar whatsoever for me.. So it does not show me any progress, only the VOICE saying it was unlocked. Not sure what your sentence meant about the 5 planets. Although I realize there are many stops to collect the triggers at each planet.. But i have no progress bar. |

Yeah, as Sanunes said, there are some quests that are tracked by a progress bar. They aren't bugged, but you need some work to find them. The advantage of the SAM Memory Triggers is that they actually show in the map, unlike the other Tasks. On that note, as you're collecting memory Triggers, it will unlock more stuff and memories in SAM's Node back at the Hyperion. BTW, I'm doing a guide for those quests that doesn't show in the map/how many are left, so check that out if you're interested. |

Right, there are some occasions that the progress bar doesn't show up, but it is still counting. Try going back to the Nexus, watching the memory on SAM's node and collecting another memory trigger to see if the bar shows up this time. |

If you have the quest as being tracked so it will show up on your compass with the orange star at the locations on the world map it should have the quest in the upper right of your screen, in the corner there should be a progress bar there without a number. That is the only time that quest will give any indication of how many you have found or not found. |

A sort of counter is the number of unlocked messages in your Dad's room on the Hyperion. Each time a memory is unlocked you can access another message. I'm pretty sure the last memory unlocks the last message so you can track your progress that way.

Maybe but then I'm on Windows 7 as well and it works just fine for me so it must be something else maybe as you say we need more info really. Also maybe talk to EA support about it. |

Exactly it's more a case of you find the triggers and li9sten to Sam as Sam instructs and tells you when the next memory is unlocked the bar will only tell you how far along the quest you are. |
