So you're going to farm it with pugs regularly, now? Test the hack by yourself, if it's not been changed, it won't work with pugs most of the time.

I'll keep practicing and get a little better every day, just like all the rest of the PUGs.
Remember: we are all PUGs to someone else.

yes hacking with pugs is hard but it is still doable, i usually ask someone to pull aggro or do it myself. if half the enemies ignore the hack it isnt that hard. still super annoying and you really need to pay attention at all times but it can be done with pugs

The "god-tier" Human adept looks pretty powerless in platinum. Two of the skills (pull and singularity) are almost useless since most of the enemies are armored and shielded, has no significant weapon damage boost from passives and he/she's squishy as hell.

Eh, I'd said the Adepts did fine until we got to Wave 5 and chumped out for two reasons:
(1) Didn't know about the weakpoint on the Progenitor so we couldn't kill it fast enough to prevent Observer spam (2) Didn't have a plan for cycling the map so when we repositioned it was haphazardly
Lifting Shockwave saved our asses from dogs several times, Pull would have if I had remembered to use it more regularly.
Priming everything with Singularity is still good. Saving Barrier is still good.
I bet we could have done this with less scrubby play, without Go For The Eyes (so the off-host guys could have done weapon damage), and with an actual plan rather than "just run around like chickens with our heads cut off".

Did I say anything about Human sentinel? I only said Human adepts suck on platinum. And they do. There are other characters who could do better. But since you brought it up, Singularity has slow recharge speed and you can't use it all the time to prime all the enemies you encounter. The +28% weapon damage boost is a permanent bonus, so yeah, I find it more useful.

I 'broadcast' a couple of Plat games via that XBL 'Mixer' program. I'm... not sure how to link to them but if you look up me on XBL (same userid) they should be near the top of my activity feed. Both games were with Nat in the Hat and Gnash Browns who expertly carried my sorry ass. A few points: * I am not really a Platinum god, at least not at MEA. * These were my 3rd and 4th Plat games. It is hard but not as impossible as people are making out, at least with two good players (Nat and Gnash) to carry the load. * Other than bullshit objectives I don't see anything that would prevent people from farming Plat for all it's worth.

Bump. 10 days ago I wrote "other than bullshit objectives I don't see anything that would prevent people from farming Plat for all it's worth." Mission accomplished.
Last night's (19 July 2017) Platinum Apex mission was -25% weapon damage / -25% weapon capacity in return for +10% XP / +10% Cr. vs. Outlaws on Magma.
The penalty to weapon capacity is irrelevant and the penalty to weapon damage is not that big a deal so this is a tremendously good value for the player.
I farmed this a bunch using the following characters:
Krogan Mercenary with Shadow (and Hurricane sidearm, only used at end of wave on bosses) + Incendiary Ammo + Power Capacity booster (13 Flak Cannons). Flak Cannon is really, really good against Platinum armor and so is Flamer as long as you don't get killed while flaming. Rage regen keeps you topped off.
Salarian Operator with Shadow. Power Efficiency booster + Tactical VI booster. Shield Boost is pretty good. Everything not dead will be infected with Invasion (one benefit of all the Platinum bosses running around is plenty of time to spread Invasion).
Asari Sentinel with Rozerad (only because small Hurricane clip size was annoying me) + Cryo Ammo + Cyclonic Mod. Characters with Tech Armor or other DR actually get good benefit from higher shields hence the Cyclonics.
Every game I was the only non-stealth class. I dropped a lot which I am not sure is because I am a scrub, or because of drawing all the aggro. Probably both (I'm a scrubby aggro-draw-er).
Stuff I learned:
Platinum Outlaws Wave 1 is a little like ME3 Platinum Geth Waves 1 or 2 in that it features a lot of annoying enemies that you will want to use resources on early. Plat Outlaws Wave 1 has Berserkers and is also the only wave with Pariahs. Playing Krogan Mercenary I would not hesitate to spam Flak at them; playing other characters I would not hesitate to use a Cobra or two.
Hydras are the easiest Platinum bosses by far, similar to Atlases in ME3. Take out their central eye and they are basically helpless.
Anointed suck. They start showing up on Wave... 3? 4? and are ridiculously tanky and accurate which is a weird game design combination when you think about it. (Typically tanky = less accurate close range guy vs. accurate = less tanky long range guy. But Anointed are both tanky and accurate!) I actually considered re-spec'ing Flak to Stun just to deal with these guys.
Ascendants are much, much less threatening with synch kills removed. You can play very aggressively against them because you know that even if you screw up you (mostly) won't be permanently killed. Remember that while they focus their orb on you they cannot do their teleport move and vice versa. A little like Banshees in that regard.
Firebase Magma. Got plenty of Uploads and Hacks, fortunately none of the really bad spots (like the one to the left of the LZ that is out in the open). Of course with 3 other stealth characters in every game, I personally didn't do anything other than run around drawing aggro. But the Uploads seemed pretty straightforward and even the Hacks were more tedious than anything. Outlaws don't seem to camp the Hack as much as Kett do.
We were getting 130,000+ Cr per game and I made about 2 million Cr farming this. Not bad.
BTW this was with PUGs on XBL and no mic communication. The host had Equalizer (Siphon) IV, nobody else used any special weapons.

So it can be used to prime then detonated for more damage after the biotic explosion to start cool down. Pull remains useful in platinum given the prevalence of dogs. But, yeah, an adept could leave 1 point in pull and max out everything else. That would be great for platinum play.

I actually find them more annoying than before. One hit with Ascendant orb takes all my shield and leaves me with ~10% life, which is almost a one-shot kill. And because its size, sometimes can be difficult to dodge.

According to Bioware on the stream that introduced Plat, the Progenitor weak point is on their back not their front. I've never personally tested it though.

Oh for fucks sake.
I still don't even understand assembler's weak points either. And nullifiers don't seem to register as crits half the time.
