Bump. Looking for video of off-host headshot problems as of patch 1.09, because Bioware apparently doesn't believe this is a problem. I have some video of my own but I am not a very good headshot-er, and I'd prefer to have multiple sources so this is not blamed on JRandall0308's connectivity. It's something they've investigated, but weren't able to reproduce 'with their simulations'. It's a lot of video to dig through, so I'm not going to, but it wasn't as black and white as 'BW doesn't think this is a thing'.

Didn't Combact Mastery challenge work fine in their simulator when it was broken for us? Is concussive SR a better choice for this or the regular?

Humor me, then? Pretty please? twitch.tv/videos/159969999 3:34:20 First thing he does is say it might be a bug. What follows might be trigger material, as he does kind of downplay it as possibly players reporting due to crappy wifi or other things.

Just took a vid for ya JRandall0308 . It's beautiful. I think I got credit for less than 50% of my headshots. Just watch this shit and then remember that I only got a fucking silver for weak point kills. You can compare to one of my solo vids for on-host crit detection, which is essentially flawless. Upload is in progress, will notify when done. It's something they've investigated, but weren't able to reproduce 'with their simulations'. It's a lot of video to dig through, so I'm not going to, but it wasn't as black and white as 'BW doesn't think this is a thing'. I should have used concussive for my vid just now. FOOKIN ELL.

It may have been said earlier, but fiend-style warping has be happening with adhis and berserkers. I guess any enemy that charges may be at issue. Adhis also seem a lot more grabby, although that could be a result of the warping.

someone should go through and count my actual registered crits vs lined up shots ... Not clear what I'm supposed to see to differentiate? I went through for a bit, pausing after shots. Then went & looked at one of your solos to compare (but harder since many plat dogs & Beserkers ). How do crits register on the screen?

Then went & looked at one of your solos to compare (but harder since many plat dogs & Beserkers ). How do crits register on the screen? Orange 'x' on the crosshair. I think using an auto would prove better evidence since most of the targets die in one hit with the Kishock anyway. There are a couple cases where headshots aren't registering on armored targets which are easiest to see. In my experience, there's some wonky behavior using autos. If the reticle is lined up on the weakpoint before you start shooting, there's significantly higher chance the rest of the shots will be weakpoints even if there's some stray back and forth before finishing the clip, while if you start with the reticle off to the side and then drag it over to the weakpoint you can easily go the rest of the clip without it registering. Varies from game to game. Also Kett seem to be the easiest to get weakpoints to register (my exp).

Probably part of it, but Hydra's laser eye thing is pretty damn big and a lot of times it doesn't register either. Meanwhile Ascendant's head I can see weakpoints triggering even though I can't hit it that often and it's harder to see in all the mess going on.

Headshots (technically 'weakpoint kills') are indicated by: * colored reticle * distinct sound against humanoid targets * extra points received

1:19 head exploded but no reticle color nor Concussive detonation Was wondering about this when I watched Lenny's. Most of what I saw are red X when enemies die, but that's the same for body shots and some powers right? So not really able to tell if those headshot kills actually activated as weakpoint hits unless I'm missing something. Also possible that freezing changes something or the hitbox is wonky when they're layed out. Wondering if maybe this issue deserves it's own research thread. Input from more users might help elevate the issue to BW.

I made / found some bug reports, please 'Me Too' and 'Grant XP' them if you have experienced the bug. Also scroll up to OP to look at the list of stuff for which I still need video. (Why 'Grant XP'? Because EA Answers HQ seems to take that into account when adding 'points' to the severity of a bug as shown in the badge next to its title in the listings.)

N7Mith good one, that gets us to 21 (bugs), we are old enough to drink now. = = = I was browsing through the bugs to see if any have been responded to and seriously, what the hell: there are tons of bad bugs for both SP and MP and this is the one that gets a response from EA. A minor visual display bug with colors being washed out.I don't know why I bother sometimes.

When you kill with a crit the orange marker stays behind longer than the red kill marker. See in action here (10:27 if timestamp doesn't work):
