Feel free to share your own tips, you don't have to agree with me. - If you cannot roflstomp gold with the given kit/weapon combo then leave it at home, it will be more of a frustration than fun.
- Have at least one infiltrator on the team (for revives and objectives).
- Leave the objectives (all kind of) to the infiltrators.
- Non infiltrators should draw agrro away from the objectives (though it may not be possible under all circumstances).
- I found barricade extremely useful for controlling choke-points, revives and drawing aggro.
- Bring all the debuffs you can bring (engineers, agent, kromerc).
- Bring all the team support you can bring (shield boost, ED with team support, stealth grid).

You don't need an infiltrator for platinum. All infiltrators do, is divert attention to the other 3 people on your squad. Infiltrators make platinum, (easier) for the infiltrator player.

Depend on how the stealth play style. If he's using say a bolt-action like BW, then yes. Being selfish and practically not helping by staying far away and eventually getting killed then having the teammates try to revive. Now, if you're using a different weapon like a semi-auto and are only using it to ninja your way out to recover, then you are contributing. Then again, you can stealth to revive teammates and cap hack zones while others divert attention away from hack area. I use Turian agent with Ruzad X (My Dhan is rank 1) so i'm constantly in close-quarters and the usefulness of the flamethrower with armor debuff is a big help for the team, especially as a primer. It comes down to the play style of the stealth user.

The fact is, speaking purely from an optimal lobby standpoint, DPS wins platinum. Not your fancy Human Adept, Stealth Grid kit, or cool Lance combos. Raw, sustained damage from a high-capacity weapon. Turbocharge, Flak Cannon, Tactical Cloak, these are what matter. Room for one area denial or support kit like a Human Sentinel or Salarian Operator.
You can, of course, win without that cool shit, but it's harder.

Play platinum only if you're looking for fun and not credits. Fun and credit seeking are usually not complementary. If you're looking for credits, you might be spoiling the fun for others?
Use a mic to coordinate? I just reinstalled the game to start playing again, and my keys messed up. Gotta find the enable mic key. I kept pushing the old key to tell the team to leave the hack and draw them away, but no one heard me
I agree that an infiltrator won't be needed... eventually. Right now, I think we're still trying to figure out the strategy for hacking and cloak is good crutch till we figure it out, esp if it's stealth grid.

Just played one Platinum game. Apex mission.
My very first game with Krogan Vanguard XX.
My tip for most people would be stick to gold where things stay fun, casual and mentally healthy.
I think Platinum is just stupidly designed. This is no real work or innovation. ..and I never experienced so much glitch in one game like I have just now.

I think I can do much better with Infiltrators and sticky grenade for sure though.

If you don't need the credits, I'd advise to stick with it. Platinum will slow down. In two weeks, platinum extractions will be as commonplace as gold extractions. If you don't have the computer for platinum, then yeah, don't bother. My PC is pretty beefy, but my GPU is the older 980 TI, and I can tell it's struggling on platinum. Granted, I'm playing at 3440x1440 with everything maxed. Maybe I'll dial back the graphics a bit.

Kill the observers, don't drop the shields then shoot something else, fudging off them! There are 1000 of them for a reason, they literally are the CORE of platinum, kill the observers, waves will be much easier. Kill the sharpshooters, one shot shield drop next shot death or 10% health, and its about 2 seconds apart. Easy to drop as well. Drop the dogs, they flush you out for sure now comming in packs of 2-3 (I asked for this ) Teamkill ALL armored targets, you should not be soloing anything with armor Berserker takes 7+ Dhan XI headshots and laughs at you. If your ally is shooting an armored target, HELP THEM Utilize ragdolling redbars, all redbar enemies are still redbar enemies, drop their shields and stop them from shooting you and your team right away, (concussion shot, pull, singularity, ect) and then KILL THEM. DO NOT LET THEIR SHIELDS RECHARGE!! There is nothing more "wtf is wrong with you" than someone shooting down a annointed shield and letting him drop them, then they shoot at you because someone didn't disarm him with pull... Move around, this is not gold, you are not going to camp in the back and get free money. You have to get objectives RIGHT AWAY, the longer you take to clear objectives, the longer your squad has to "defend" against the hardest horde the game has to offer. Use your god, dam, consumables. I leave every platinum lobby where someone readies up and even 1 person is going in raw. I don't know maybe they are saving them for diamond...

They need to change that sh** back, Wave 6 Hack followed by a Wave 4 Hack the next match and we wiped on both, its IM-F***ING-POSSIBLE. What f***ing genius thought this was a good idea? Who was b****ing and moaning that Hacks were too easy, and who play tested Platinum Hacks? Maybe if the very first objective round is a Hack wave 4 or 6 you might as well wipe and save yourself some time.

Gold and Platinum don`t make huge difference. Two games of Apex Gold mission can be no longer than a Platinum game and almost always guarantee full extraction. ...and if you are not PuGGing... who needs tips?

I think I will play Platinum once I have certain kits at XX with certain rare variant of weapons. Until then... Gold is simply better for me. Same credits.. same time spent... much less stress way more fun that way. Played few XX characters on Gold... and now Outlaw feels like prepatch version lmao.

I probably was fortunate by having good pugs yesterday, and except for that w6 wipe which was upload (and I joined that one at w5) it went okay.
Tried it with the Salarian Operator (XII), and had great fun. I actually felt useful helping the team with Shield Boost. But I also spent a lot of time trying to evade enemies.
