Turian Havoc has the highest shields as well as three powerful actives. I've survived multiple games with 2-3 infiltrators in group.
Did not spec for aerial stuff, but low jump hover is beneficial for avoiding Berserker shrapnel stagger.

- If Wave 6 is a Hack just wipe your just wasting your time.
- Don't Bother wasting Cobras on anything that isn't already mostly dead, Progenitors take like 5-6 of them when at full Shields/Health and I watched a Observer catch a Cobra straight in the mouth and didn't even do half its shields in damage as a perfect example as to why.
- Don't try to be a 1337 Solo master, no one is going to come and get you when you get downed by 7 Observers on the other side of the map.

I've done... 8 I think. Wiped twice, extracted with no gels left pretty much every time. I don't think I've had a wave 6 hack. Only about half of the groups had anyone with cloak, usually 2 soldiers, 1 adept (me), 1 engineer/sent. No mics at all, and each one played very differently. One where we basically stayed in pairs went pretty well early but developed into a shitshow in the later rounds (but still full extraction).
No advice other than hold your butts, really.

- I know it's against the lore, but the Siphon weapons are actually very helpful for your survival on Plat, so far I've tried Siphon P.A.W, Shadow, Vanquisher and Black Widow (the RNG refuses to give me Siphon Hurricane and other cool stuff), with those weapons I can usually finish a full game with 3+ ops packs left, because just a few shots can heal my char to full health, this also makes the health regeneration cap obsolete.
- Again, this cannot be stressed enough: Go outside the hacking circle to draw aggro if you are not an infiltrator, unless your teammates have Stealth Grid. Even in the latter case, at least one player must go outside to distract the enemies.

At least a wave 6 wipe grants you 75K credits, so it's not THAT big of a loss. Ofcourse 120K is always better... For some reason this bothers me, because instead of trying something new, or completely off the wall to succeed, players KEEP DOING THE SAME STUPID SHYT that didnt work the 1st minute for the remainder of the wave and lose. People who even have revive packs just bleed out on wave 6. Wave 6 is the most important wave in the game, there should be 0 rockets jells ammo health packs left if its what it takes to get the full gold, because at the end of the game you get more than what you use. 10K for jumbo, but players blow 75k, what reason... no idea. tl;dr MAKE THAT WIN HAPPEN!

Got wave 6 hack and spent all the consumables drawing aggro on the other side of the map. Still wiped and immediately got kicked in the post-game lobby......

Got wave 6 hack and spent all the consumables drawing aggro on the other side of the map. Still wiped and immediately got kicked in the post-game lobby...... I find "going to the other side of the map" can be a bad idea sometimes, I'd say keep a distance but not too far away, because: 1. If you get downed and have no gel, teammates can come and revive you so you may continue drawing aggro, this won't happen if you are too far away; 2. If you get too far away, chances are some boss enemies spawn in the middle may ignore you and directly head to the hack zone, even your teammates are still clocked and not attacking, I've seen this a lot, dunno if it's a bug in the a.i. script or just working as intended. Better stay somewhere you can see the hack zone, so you can shoot those enemies to make them come to you instead of staying there. Of course this is just a workaround and won't be 100% successful, sometimes enemies just camp at the hack zone and won't move, even if you shoot them from outside in a distance, when this happens you know there's no hope to complete the mission. Also I don't like the way BioWare implemented hack on Plat, if you choose to play outside the hack zone you have to try everything to draw the aggro but the enemy a.i. won't be 100% responsive to your presence, and if you choose to play an Infiltrator in the hack zone, it's just cloak and hide, pretty boring. If we could take out hack, Plat would be a faceroll and just slightly harder than Gold, but when 90% of the game's challenge comes from a single type of objective, you know something is seriously wrong.

Well, I have settled on Krogan Merc as my go to class for platinum until I get better at the game. So far it is the class I can contribute the most with, I found. Went full damage flamethrower + flak cannon, 4 points in fortify, 4 points in offensive passive, full defensive rage.
I have two suspicions: 1. I could probably be a lot more useful if I went stun and blinding heat upgrades instead of anti-armor upgrades, but I have too much fun in Gold with full damage Krogan Merc to keep respeccing between the two.
2. Dropping the last 2 points out of rage and putting them into the offensive passive is probably a better variant of my current damage oriented build - just not sure if I want to go precision for better Dhan damage, or sustained fire and put on a Rozerad/Hurricaine to buff my two DoTs.

I'd like to expand on OWA's tip, "Hide in the corner", and say "Hide." Behind a box, under a bridge, in the belly of a tauntaun or other largeish animal, etc. Alternatively, you could just use your Predator pistol and wipe out the bad guys.

Don't PUG if you don't mic.
Use the apex modifiers smartly. Skip terrible ones like weakened assault team.

Kill destroyer turrets, but don't kill the destroyer until everything else is dead. This is especially true for the boss variant. They are by far less lethal without their turrets, and the main body takes so long to kill that it isn't worth it, especially if a fresh destroyer with new turrets spawns. Watch out for the boss version's charge though, those things will sprint at you crazy fast once their turrets are dead, so keep an eye on them.
The same is true for the blaze hydra, with it's missile pod wrecked it losses the ability to surprise kill you, let it live until you know it won't be back.

This is another thing that bugs the hell out of me, not even just in platinum but in general. To many games people just continue shooting at a destroyer with no turrets while 60 other enemies are running around shooting back. This game isn't a game of skill, its literally a game of common sense. And players on PC are just terrible.

To be fair, on the lower difficulties they rarely respawn even when they die first, so killing them outright isn't detrimental, just poorly optimized, killing a progenitor and having it respawn with new turrets, and more observers of it's own on top of the last ones that are still hanging about, on the other hand, WHY...

Sad yet true, don't even bother unless everyone is spamming them on like a Progenitor that is the assassination target, Cobra's on Platinum don't even deal half an Observers shields in damage its f***ing pathetic.

This is how I see it (at the moment, until I improve)
Any character with Tactical Cloak/ Stealth Grid = Relatively simple (with decent team mates) Any character without Tactical Cloak/ Stealth Grid = A cluster fuck

I just had a great game with an Exemplar, Turian Havoc, & Human Infiltrator. I was the Asari Huntress all of them performed fine. The Turian was taking all the aggro off of me and the infiltrator on the hack mission, as well as the Angara. They really kept away form objectives and let us infiltrators do the pizza runs too. No mics were used though I may enable mine now since I am liking Platinum a lot. 'You should use a kit that YOU are comfortable with. My go to is the Human Infiltrator. You'll do fine.

The other thing is that I only play with PUG's, so if I have a cloak ability I can keep them alive if they are really bad and just gradually chip away at the enemy.
