I see at least a doubling of gun mods in my collection, and I haven't gotten a single one of those new ones. Pistol Light Melee and Pistol Heavy Melee? WTF? Wasn't the regular Pistol Melee Optimizer enough? This is definitely EA's influence. They're finally CoDuty'ing or BF'ing Mass Effect. Maybe I shouldn't have reinstalled this game. This is starting to feel super grindy already.
Pistol short barrel and Pistol long barrel? Really? If I stopped now and uninstall again, I could say I never got suckered back in by Bioware. I can call the last 24 hrs a trial. Hmm...

Ok, looked again. They didn't double the number of gun mods. They tripled or quadrupled it.

Patch 1.09 cards are rubbish. Remove them or place them on separate packs.

It's complete rubbish, just dumping a ton of new cards to grind for. There were to many to begin with, these don't add to the challenge, they are just there so that everyone would be included. You don't have the skills for gold, no problem; we'll give you a gun that restores health! Give me a break.
Yes I play because it's fun, but I want to also have a feeling that my time in game will also yield me some rewards. With this new horrible patch (1.09) we just have to kiss waaaaay to many frogs. It's extortion, plain and simple

Yes, but the only way to get them is to buy the random weapon mod packs from the Mission Funds store.
They also tripled the amount of guns you have to unlock.

F' Bioware. F' EA. I just realize what's going on. They took the ME3 SP RGB ending and applied it to MEA MP. I was already annoyed by the S variants of guns slowing me down before. The new guns and gun mods are just RGB endings to this game. I'm out. Uninstalled. Whatever little chance they had to get me to buy Anthem just disappeared. That game is going to have 200 guns and 400 mods. It'll just be the same ol shit again, repackaged in nice looking graphics.

Gaming is entering another dark age; if you can't see it, you are either too young or too stupid to recognize it.
Skinner box tactics are effective, until your rats realize they're being punked.
"AAA Gaming" sucks across the board - half finished and unpolished products being released for full price? Crash.
Bioware isn't the leader of this, but sadly they are a follower cuz big daddy EA calls the shots. EA is a leader of this, and I wish their entire board a sightseeing tour to Gary, Indiana.

This is how they should have handled the new gun variants, either with item store packs or separate credit store item packs. That way they exist in a separate loot pool, that doesn't perpetuate the grind for vanilla URs.

Not all triple AAA gaming suck. Some companies don't rip their customers off. Blizzard, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo hasn't resorted to cheap microtransaction and different color guns with no new animation. The example of Overwatch is glaring. Whatever you think about the game, Blizzard is doing it right. They have 10s of millions of players across the world with pro gaming playing it. They've never resorted to asking players to buy one single microtransaction nor buy different color guns with in game earned credits. Then take a look at MEA MP's players count... crickets. This is the cancer that is EA and Activision.

The mods aren't even useful. They are trash. I bought two just to see what they were like and can tell you don't.
First one was the pistol sight I, provides the same aim bonus as a scope, but without the scope. These ones aren't bad.
Shotgun light melee I, +10% melee damage, -10% ammo capacity. WHAT!? The same melee bonus as the normal shotgun mod, costs mf, and penalizes you for no reason. If it was better than the normal shotgun melee mod I it might have had me considering a third purchase, but all pain and no gain is no way.
TL;DR, the same benefit as the normal mods, but with penalties and a higher cost.

I guess I joined multiplayer at a bad time. I purchased some weapon mod packs yesterday. I got shotgun +10% damage -% stability, shotgun +10% damage -% accuracy, and a +9% damage mod. They are the only shotgun mods I have and they're all the same to me.

They need to scrap that sh** from the MF store and make them equal opportunity from packs, instead of this BS now were sure the original weapon mods can be obtained from packs but they drop at a rate lower than UR cards and have no gracing period were the game will just give you one.
You can buy like 50 20K or 50K packs and not get a single weapon mod upgrade, that sh** is just unacceptable. I wouldn't be so pissed off at this addition if they made it feasible to actually get the mods in a timely manner, because especially for a Shotgun +40% Damage and -24% Stability isn't a bad trade off compared to the standard barrel, but who the f*** is going to know when they have to spend like 30000 Mission Funds trying to get the damn thing to X???
