Could be anybody's, of course. However, if they truly look like a cross between the Vorcha and the Collectors, a dark, miserable looking homeworld is acceptable to me. Khet Homeworld?Attachments:

If you look in the background of the Sony 4K gameplay teaser, you can see very similar structures. This leaves me to think that the structure we see in the OP's picture is from a Remnant Vault. This may be on the Khet homeworld, but I'm pretty sure the vaults will look about the same all over the Helios Cluster.

Its possible
It could also be an abandoned planet from long ago that is used as a colony for the Milky Way refugees
Don't know.

We saw those same structures in the Gameplay Demo but those were in the Remnant vaults, at least that's what I thought was being implied. The Remnant could be similar to the Leviathans if the Reddit leak is to be believed. In it they state that some of the Andromeda species we'll come across are pre-spacefaring.
I guess it also possible that the Khet are the progenitors of the Remnant and are trying to re-establish their dominance over Andromeda. This would certainly explain why they would oppose the MW species' migration. Just a theory of course but it would certainly be a cool story line.

No...that is Remnant arhitecture, not Khet. According to that time on N7 day 2014 this is supposed to be homeworld of one of the new species(maybe Khet): They were talking about how they wanted the architecture to fit the feel of the race, so said since this was a peaceful-looking place it was a peaceful race or something like that. So it probably isn't the Khet but a race that becomes friends with us.

This could be their world, maybe they are peaceful, but when their backs are to the wall they come out swinging.

I'd prefer that the khet homeworld has like some kind of idyllic quality to it, like it would seem like someplace that you might think would be a nice place to live, if not for all the motherflippin' khet.

I hope we don't get to see everything in the first game. The Khet homeworld would be great for some end-story content for later games.BW in the first game should serve us appetizers to keep us wanting for more instead of serving immediately the main dish and leave us sated already.

You know, baddies should look bad in everything. That's probably home of one of our possible native allies. I'm not even sure we'll get to see Khet homeworld in first, since we are supposed to fight off their expansion to Helios cluster, which can be read as they expand from somewhere else.

I think that with this whole strangers in a new universe thing it could very well be possible for our main enemy to not be murderous or rampaging by nature. By all accounts we should be the aliens, and if our arrival threatens Khet interests, it wouldn't be illogical for them to become our enemies.

While I'm interested in Khet's point of view on this Covenant intergalactic invasion, I think they'll be ugly evilz imperialists. Writers wouldn't want to put their players into position where they have kill guys who just defend their territory, so instead we'll be defending hippy locals who are oppresed by Khet. This way players will feel good about their role in story.

The image may be the inside of a large and possibly Elite Remnant Vault.
Look at the 4K tech VIDEO starting @1:20. Notice on the left two inverted pyramids that are very similar (architecture wise) to those shown in the image. You get a better look if you adjust the gamma.
It all looks very Remnant architecture.

This would be really cool, having two totally different ways to play the game: The classical White Knight way. Building alliances, helping other races and persons, and making the Helius cluster a better place. Or gather brutal strength by making others into spies and traitors, and steamroll the gameworld.

About those dark structures we saw on that strange world, this has been bugging me ever since the trailer came out. I'm seeing a similarity between the structure on the Citadel where we meet the Intelligence (Star Child) and those weirdly shaped structures on that grim landscape that was shown on the trailer (Khet Homeworld, perhaps, as OP suggested). The structure on ME3 has an inverted pyramid on top and an equally pyramid-shaped structure below. It's basically two pyramids with their tops pointing at each other. Here comes the part with the crazy theorization: Could this technology from Andromeda have based the construction of the Reaper device? It does look very old and it's possible that an ancient, advanced race travelled to other galaxies and had unknown impacts in the Milky Way. The Reapers did live on dark space, waiting every 50,000 years to attack. No one knows how they survived without a power source. Is it possible they adapted the technology from whichever advanced space-faring race that once inhabited Andromeda to enable their survival? After all, the pyramid-like devices in Andromeda are located in the same place where there's another device, a so-called Vault, which is capable of mapping several star systems within the galaxy. We also know that if that ancient race had several Vaults in their own galaxy, then they had the technology to travel to those faraway star systems. It's possible they colonized all of Andromeda's star systems and then attempted to move on to other galaxies. The Vault does seem ancient, so this could have happened millions of years ago, when Leviathans dominated the Milky Way with their telepathic abilities and Reapers first harvested them. And if the Reapers came in contact with such advanced technology, why wouldn't they attempt to incorporate it, perhaps even build something similar in the Milky Way? Devices that would allow for quick travel between star systems like the ones used by this ancient Andromedan race? That would explain the technology behind the Mass Relays and that structure on the Citadel, which is capable of interfering with all the Mass Relays and affect space travel within a galaxy in a matter of minutes... ...and more importantly, indicate that Ryder and their companions can return to the Milky Way one day, since the technology is available. If they can activate it and learn how to use it.
