Can't Go Online Since The Last Patch

I had exactly the same on PC after a minor weekly update late April . Not that I think it's going to help you much but I can at least share my story.

I created an incident at help.ea.com under 'Technical Support', reported the matter at hand and asked for call back. The guy who called back couldn't see anything strange, except for the matter where he casually noted that my account had been hacked (this had nothing to do with the connectivity problems, afaik, but it was still rather disturbing). We attempted multiple things:

1. update the game
2. repair the game
3. give origin, andromeda and activationui firewall exceptions
4. run origin and andromeda as administrator
5. delete, redownload and reinstall .exe files
6. uninstall, redownload and reinstall origin
7. clear origin download cache
8. check network connection adapter options
9. perform a clean boot apart

He also requested dxdiag, msinfo and uotrace reports be made and sent to EA. Neither of the steps above solved the problem, however, so he escalated the incident to a specialist. When the specialist came back he wanted me to try another internet connection, create a new windows administrator account and perform a clean boot. When I refused this, they said they couldn't help me any further. I then made a lengthy recap for of they entire issue and asked them if they were telling me that they were giving up on me as a customer and - if so - I'd put in a request for refund at EA Swiss S.a.r.l.

Roughly one hour later, everything worked like sunshine again. I then received an email replying that, yes, if I refused the specialist's requests, they couldn't help me any further.

I wrote them one last reply, telling them everything now worked again and that - if that wasn't them - it must have been that leprechaun I saw walking on the street the other day, and asking them to please close the case.

I haven't had any connection problems since...
