I mean balancewise? thats a serious question. Because character choice can be seen part of a tactic, too.
Or is it legitimate of the Developers to just presume players would always bring cloak characters...?
Or didn't they test their new Hack objective on Platinum even once?
Or are they just so much better than me, mowing down bosses like dummies?

It is possible without a stealth character. It's just hard and requires teamwork and situational awareness. I am very sure they did not test the new hacks. The hack does require some adjustments (i.e. dogs shouldn't interrupt) and enemy AI is a bit lacking. It is not impossible, though, without a cloaker. I would rather see cobras buffed to something near ME3MP. As it stands, cobras are worthless even on bronze. If a couple of cobras would clear a hack zone, I don't think anyone would be complaining about hacks as they are.

it is possible sure, but it is pure luck. good luck killing a progenitor and blaze hydra sprinting at you while at the same time 2 more destroyers/hydras are on their way with berserkers all at once. op has the right of it, small enemies like dogs should not be interrupting the point. all this little shit stands on the hack point long enough for the big units to camp out on it until time expires. sometimes you can clear it if you camp on the other side of the map to get everything over there and then hit the hack point. oh and also if you dont have cloak, pray it doesn't spawn in the middle of the map.
or you can just git gud like some people are suggesting, get a stealth grid class, and sit on the point doing nothing for 2 minutes. because apparently that separates you from a bad player. this is unfortunately the method that they are promoting.

I'm pretty much done with platinum before they fix this. Team full of 20k+ apex players couldn't finish wave 3 hack. We had 2 cloaked guys doing objective while 2 others tried to kite enemy off. There was nothing we could do. 2 ascendant just refused to move away.
In me3 you can solo platinum if u are skilled enough and here... well you have to wish for luck
Infiltrators aren't enough you have to be perma cloaked on hack area, meaning stealth grid is the only way to do it. It's unlikely bioware will fix this soon. Most of them are on vacation for next 2 weeks

Sh** is borderline impossible, what are we suppose to do when cloaking isn't enough and you got like 9 Berserkers rushing the hack and stuff is spawning and already 10 feet from the hack circle the second you kill something. This isn't a git gud situation, this is a pure luck of the draw situation. |

And 3 of us were below 16k APEX... Thing is Platinum killed diversity by changing the META of enemy types. Now, it's almost only armored units that can't be CC (crowd control) and they have a bazillion health... This severely limits the potential of many characters on Platinum, but it doesn't change much for Gold, Silver or Bronze. Platinum now requires you to choose characters that perform against Armor, that's all that matters. Working as teams of 2, each team defending its side of the Hack/Upload, we were able to melt things coming our ways without a sweat and without using any cobra. We didn't all have the fancy new weapons either, hell I used a Human Soldier with the PAW and Turbocharge at 1 and still came within 1k of being first on the scoreboard. It's all about adapting to how enemies behave. I disagree with Bioware's choice of enemy composition for Platinum since it literally kills the effectiveness of many characters, but it's very feasible. I think they should review a bit enemy composition for Platinum and certainly review the Hack progress time too as it is too slow given what happens when an enemy gets in... |

I'm not sure it's only the hack objectives that require cloaking.
With < 45 seconds per device, you're doomed if a device happens to spawn with very many enemies nearby. Or in range of flak cannon - unless a cloaked teammate can get to it.
The same may be true of retrievals. Getting to the LZ with multiple observers beaming at you probably isn't possible.

You have solid group of friends chatting on mic and having fun. My problem is not the enemy. For i care they could make them 2x harder than they are now. That would just be challenge to complete and satisfaction at successful extraction. I can manage upload with random group i usually play but hack... it's just not fun. |

A barricade kit can help. I saw someone use barricade to keep an enemy out of the upload zone on magma in the center tower. Was a "genius" move. |
